Premieres Tuesday, September 5 at 10:00 pm EST/PST
Two guys named George team up for a new sketch comedy show that will deliver the best jokes ever heard - in the best venue of them all! George Wendt (Cheers) and George Gray (Junkyard Wars, The Weakest Link) star in and co-host the one hour A&E special GUY WALKS INTO A BAR, premiering Tuesday, September 5 at 10:00 pm EST/PST.
GUY WALKS INTO A BAR features George Wendt at his most familiar location - the bar, only instead of drinking, he will be tending bar along with George Gray. Other patrons in the bar, including surprise guests, complete the comedy ensemble. The scene begins with one of the George′s telling a joke. As viewers listen, the joke comes to life on the screen in a sketch.
The show moves from sketch to sketch as the ensemble of comedians recount their favorite jokes, quickly alternating between the bar and the sketches. Interspersed throughout the program are the two Georges, sitting at the bar attempting to one-up each other with their favorite jokes. Additionally, viewers will be treated to appearances by some very special guest bar patrons.
Actor / producer / comedian George Gray′s quick wit, engaging presence and analytical mind have served him well in the world of live stand-up and sketch comedy, as well as in his TV and film work.
