FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 Bows As VH1′s Most Watched Series Premiere Ever!
Premiere Attracts 3.3 Million Total Viewers Up 162% Versus Season One Premiere
Ladies love Flavor Flav and so do the viewers! The second season debut of FLAVOR OF LOVE on Sunday, August 6th at 10:00 PM EST became the most-watched premiere of any VH1 series, attracting 3.3 million total viewers: up 162% versus the FLAVOR OF LOVE season one premiere.
The series debut also tied last summer′s premiere of HOGAN KNOWS BEST with a 1.9 rating in the key 18-49 demo averaging 2 million (P18-49) viewers. In addition, FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 was the highest rated and most watched program on all of basic cable for the day among P18-49, only behind HBO′s hit series "Entourage."
FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 lead-in CELEBRITY FIT CLUB 4 attracted 1.8 million viewers (P2+) and was among the top 15 programs on cable for Sunday, August 6.
In the extended 90 minute season premiere, viewers meet the 20 new ladies competing for Flavor Flav′s heart. Even more outrageous and sexy, these girls are brassy, bold and determined to get their man -- at any cost. Throughout the episode Flav gives all the girls his trademark nicknames and spends quality time getting to know them to determine who gets a clock and whose "time is up."
Viewers had the chance to catch the full premiere episodes of FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 and CELEBRITY FIT CLUB 4 on VSPOT, VH1′s broadband channel 4 days before their on-air premieres Sunday. Additionally, each episode of FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 will be available on VSPOT (http://vspot.vh1.com) in its entirety for 48 hours every Wednesday following its Sunday night broadcast. VSPOT and VH1 Mobile will also host "extras" each week including, never-before-seen footage and after-show segments for FLAVOR OF LOVE 2 and CELEBRITY FIT CLUB 4.
During its first season, FLAVOR OF LOVE was the highest rated series in VH1 history, with four of its ten episodes making VH1′s top ten rated commercial telecasts of all time. For its 90-minute season finale, FLAVOR OF LOVE again made VH1 history by becoming the network′s top rated telecast of all time, reaching 5.9 million viewers.
