In a new series slated to debut tonight at 10:00 pm ET with back-to-back half-hour episodes, TLC′s COVER SHOT takes one everyday woman in her 30s or 40s and fulfills her dream of going from "super mom to super model." During each half-hour episode of COVER SHOT, host and model Frederique van der Wal leads a creative team through the transformation.

Frederique van der Wal has graced the covers of Vogue and Cosmopolitan and has been the face of many brands such as Revlon, Guess?, MCI and Victoria Secret. She uses her experience each week and transforms moms and gives them the confidence they need to see themselves and true beauties.

Together with photographer Richard Dean, Frederique will lead makeup, hair, and fashion stylists to take everyday women and show her (and the audience) that she belongs on the cover of a magazine if given the best resources in the business.

That′s the true kicker of this show, Frederique emphasizes to these women that the models only look like that because they have a highly trained staff molding them into their look. To our disappointment, unlike TLC′s WHAT NOT TO WEAR, viewers will not learn beauty dos and don′ts. They will only be able to experience the inner works of a fashion shoot while the chosen mom is given star treatment - from Frederique picking them up at their home to being outfitted in elegant clothing, to undergoing the skin and makeup treatments and professional hair design.

After a day of photography and design, the mom and her family are surprised with a NYC billboard featuring the super model mom. Though the show ends there, Frederique′s goal is to have the moms feels more confident with themselves. She wants to show these women that they aren′t just fixtures in their household, that they will now discover their own strengths and hold themselves in higher esteem.
