Style Network Announces New Reality Series SPLIT ENDS

Hairstylists Nationwide Tangle in the Tresses in New Style Network TV Reality Series - SPLIT ENDS - Premiering November 17

Unique and Unscripted, SPLIT ENDS Challenges Hairstylists to Swap Shops

From celebrity stylists to small town cut-n′-curl hairdressers, the new Style Network series SPLIT ENDS shows viewers what happens when two hairstylists, armed with their blow dryers, hair cutting shears and "attitude," swap shops and discover what it′s really like to cut with the other′s scissors. Unscripted and often with unexpected outcomes, the eight-part one-hour reality series premieres Friday, November 17, at 9:00 PM ET/PT on Style, then moves to its regular time slot on Saturdays at 6:00 PM ET/PT.

Can a Beverly Hills diva stylist pull off a request for a blue rinse, wash and set in Small Town, USA? What′s a stylist from Middle America to do when faced with a demanding big-city clients? Hair-raising antics transpire on SPLIT ENDS when stylists switch roles, to the surprise of their unsuspecting clients and co-workers.

Day one of the swap features the stylists′ orientation at their new salons, learning the "house rules" and acclimating to their new environment. Day two is the stylists′ first day of work under the new salon′s rules.

Day three turns the tables when our stylists get to do some things their way. They must win over the staff with their own signature "style."

After the swap, the two stylists return to their home salons armed with some additional tricks of the trade, new friends, a renewed respect for their craft ... and only a few new gray hairs.

SPLIT ENDS shop swaps include:

Texas beauty pageant coach Susan Clark (G-Lo Salon, Stephenville, TX) switches places with metrosexual "stylist to the stars" Peter Ishkans (Bhava Salon, West Hollywood, CA).

Celebrity hairdressing icon Allen Edwards (Allen Edwards Salon, Studio City, CA) trades places with Liz Savage, an outspoken stylist from Staten Island (Unique Partings, Staten Island, NY).

Four-chair NJ salon owner, Vinnie Tunnero (SoCal Salon, Verona, NJ), swaps shops with a tough-as-nails Boca Raton hair mogul, Jody Jack, who employs an army of 63 stylists as co-owner of a new state-of-the art salon (Salon Oasis, Boca Raton, FL).

Tune-in to SPLIT ENDS on Style, Saturdays at 6:00 PM ET/PT (after 11/17 premiere), to see who is left standing after all the suds are rinsed away.
