The 9:00 pm ET/PT premiere of Wednesday night′s (10/25) GHOST HUNTERS, featuring an investigation from the former West Virginia Penitentiary, was the best-ever performance for a mid-season episode. This spooky spirit search averaged 1.2 million P18-49, 1.1 million P25-54 and 1.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 pm. This was up +21% in P18-49 and +10% in P25-54 versus the season three premiere on October 11.
Viewers will have the opportunity to pull an all-nighter with the GHOST HUNTERS team on Halloween night as they embark on a never-before-attempted, live 6-hour GHOST HUNTERS investigation! GHOST HUNTERS LIVE (11pm-5am), an unprecedented television event, will revisit the notoriously haunted Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado on Halloween-night! Highlights from the GHOST HUNTERS LIVE investigation will be presented in a brand-new episode airing on November 8, "Best of the Stanley Hotel."
As the legend goes, Stephen King took up residence at the Stanley while writing his best-selling novel The Shining and the spooky goings on at the hotel reportedly served as the inspiration for his best-selling tome. Viewers will be sent on the ultimate Halloween adventure, joining the GHOST HUNTERS in real-time as they investigate the infamously haunted hotel. Also joining the investigation is a special guest from ′ECW′ (Extreme Championship Wrestling) - ghost hunting novice CM Punk!
The GHOST HUNTERS originally investigated the Stanley in February 2006 and were met with a flurry of unexplainable occurrences including a hotel room that was a veritable hotbed of paranormal activity. Continually intrigued by the locale, our GHOST HUNTERS will return to the Stanley for the show′s first-ever live investigation, spending more time exploring some of the hotel′s most notorious hot spots and enlisting viewers to help expand their search for spirits.
In addition to the live broadcast, viewers can interact with the GHOST HUNTERS via polling, SMS messaging and SCIFI.COM, logging suggestions for rooms to investigate and screening an online video feed. One unprecedented interactive addition to the live telecast is the SCI FI.COM "panic button" which will enable viewers to email the control room and alert the GHOST HUNTERS to any paranormal occurrences observed on the online feed.

Exclusive Interview With Brooke Miller - Sixth Model Voted Off On AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL
Last Wednesday night, Brooke Miller, student from Keller, Texas, was the sixth girl eliminated during the during hit reality TV series, AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL.
During the judging, Nigel commented that he was still getting more of a "pageant" feel from Brooke. Though the judges loved Brooke′s personality, they weren′t sure she had the potential to become a model. On the night of her high school graduation, Brooke was eliminated from the race to become AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL.
Our own RealityTVWebsite.com Elaine James caught up with Brooke in this exclusive one-on-one interview.
Elaine James: When you received the graduation package from back home, I think we all got a little teary-eyed with you. When you got back home, were you able to pick back up and have a graduation celebration?
Brooke Miller: My parents actually threw me a huge party with all of my friends and family. It was a great blowout celebration.
Elaine James: Tell me about your photo shoot with Tyra behind the camera.
Brooke Miller: It was actually really fun. It was one of my favorite shoots because it was impromptu. Usually they tell us about a shoot the day before and everyone spends all night worrying about it and stressing and practicing. Having Tyra just show up made it so much better because it so was so much less stressful. I enjoyed spending the time with Tyra and having her coaching and feedback.
Elaine James: During the burlesque lesson it looked like you were really struggling to shed your apple pie image and turn on the sex appeal.
Brooke Miller: I think it looked like I was having a much harder time than what I actually was. I had a lot of fun playing around and thought that I actually did good.
Elaine James: So even though you didn′t win the dining room table challenge, you got to take part in the reward. You said you were able to play Brooke again. Was it a relief to just be yourself in a shoot for once?
Brooke Miller: It so was. It was the highlight of my whole experience. It wasn′t a stressful photo shoot, where you were only worried the whole time about being eliminated. It was an actually job that was going to be published.
Elaine James: Tell me about playing the "Please don′t leave me" cover with Fabio.
Brooke Miller: It was hard to be romantic with someone that was my father′s age. I was playing the part of the sad faced girl as best as I could and thought that I did okay, but the judges all thought that I looked young and uncomfortable.
Elaine James: How did you feel when it was down to you and Eugenia and Tyra told you that they weren′t sure if you were only there because of your personality?
Brooke Miller: It was hard to hear. I thought that I might be going home, but I didn′t think that it would be that soon. Eugenia definitely has the look and I think the judges saw more potential in her for the long run.
Elaine James: So what happened when you got back home? What′s next for you?
Brooke Miller: Right now I am in my first semester at the University of Texas in Austin. I would like to continue to pursue modeling.
Elaine James: What are you majoring in?
Brooke Miller: Broadcast Journalism.
Elaine James: What a coincidence, after last week′s show! Who will you be rooting for to win?
Brooke Miller: Caridee - She has a great personality and the all around package. I also like Jaeda. She is a really beautiful person and has talent...if she would just stop complaining about her hair!

And that Desiree who did not hold back on things told reporters "Did you see the previews for next weeks show with Lisa? I always knew she was psycho!"
This past Thursday, RealityTVWebsite.com reporter Angela Cooper sat in on a 15+ minute "Question and Answer Session" with Erica and here are some of the main highlights of what was discussed with the eliminated Bachelorette.
Question: Why did other girls react so poorly towards Lisa?
Desiree Valentin: When she first got the earrings and the rose, I think it built her confidence a little bit to high, and she would walk around the house being very catty. She was very self-confident. All the other girls started making connections with each other and building friendships. She never really reached out to any of us or tried to build friendships. Ultimately none of us really liked her.
Question: Do you think Lorenzo picked up on this?
Desiree Valentin: No, that′s the thing, I′ve been watching the show, and I′m wondering how could he have not seen the cattiness about her. She knew every little thing about The Bachelor. When the date box would come, she knew exactly how many people would go on it, and what the date would be like. She was like a guru. I thought Lorenzo would totally pick up on that. Watching them on a date now, I see that they did have a genuine connection.
Question: Were you shocked that Lisa made it to the final four?
Desiree Valentin: I thought that Lisa was going home. When we went on our group dates, I thought they acted more like brother and sister. I didn′t see any chemistry or romance. I thought she was going home for sure. I thought Agnese was going home for sure, also didn′t know that they had a genuine connection either. He couldn′t hardly communicate with her when we were all together. I thought he might have been intimidated to meet her family because they are Italian.
Question: Are you broken hearted after this experience?
Desiree Valentin: The entire experience was absolutely incredible. The production and crew took such good care of us. Lorenzo was absolutely just a doll, extremely charming and just a cute guy. When I came home from the romantic fairy tale story where I could′ve fallen in love with a prince. I′m back in the dating scene. I′m very happy I did it. I have no regrets.
Question: Of the final four women left, who did you get along the best with?
Desiree Valentin: I would have to say Sadie. Sadie was always cute and just a sweetheart. I would have to call her a politicianer′s wife. She was always perfect in everything she did.
Question: Did Lorenzo discuss the duties that would be expected of his future wife?
Desiree Valentin: We actually did, and I asked him what kind of woman he wanted. I thought he just wanted a woman to raise his kids, but he actually wants a woman who is ambitious has her own career. He wants a goal oriented woman and he wants her to fulfill her own dreams.
I fully respected him for that. I thought he would just want a "hot mama."
Question: Do you think Sadie is the best match of the final four?
Desiree Valentin: I have great hopes for Sadie, just in terms of their personalities. She would be the more safe choice. If he wants to find his other frisky side, then I think Agnes would be the girl who is a better match.
Question: Was Lorenzo to conservative for you?
Desiree Valentin: I think I might have been a little too much woman for him. Right off the bat I noticed that he′s a little shy. I love to laugh and have a really good time with everything. I think he was more intrigued by me. I was a little bit of a wild card to him.
Question: What′s been the reaction in Salt Lake City?
Desiree Valentin: I′ve had a lot of supporters who′ve been thanking me for showing the fun side of Salt Lake, and I′ve definitely gotten slack from other people, who expected the bachelorette from Salt Lake City to be conservative.
Question: What were your hopes and expectations from doing this show?
Desiree Valentin: The fantasy of falling in love with a prince. I′d been single for about 7 or 8 months, and I′m getting to that point where I′m totally ready to fall in love. It′s hard to meet good guys. I′ve always had a thing for Italian men, so when I had the chance - I jumped at it.
Question: What′s next for you?
Desiree Valentin: It′s opened up doors for me. I just enrolled at the University of Utah, to take classes in broadcasting. I′m young, and I′ve got opportunities, so I′m going for it.
Question: How has this experience changed your expectations in men?
Desiree Valentin: It absolutely ruined me. Lorenzo was so charming, that he totally raised my expectations. How do you top my last boyfriend, being a prince?

Brooke Eliminated On AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL
Brooke, a student from Keller, Texas, was the sixth girl eliminated during the seventh cycle of The CW′s hit dramality series AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool from 8 girls to 7.
Tyra surprised the girls in their backyard with an impromptu black and white photo shoot where the girls were asked to express anger while maintaining their sex appeal. While many of the girls thrived, Brooke found it difficult. "Being younger is sometimes a little bit overwhelming. I don′t have the experience that these girls have," Brooke said.
The next day, the girls were taught about the fundamentals of being sexy by burlesque entertainer Dita Von Teese. Dita encouraged the girls to be confident as she gave each girl a prop to perform a seductive dance, and noticed that Brooke seemed the most nervous to be sexy. "I have to be seductive and sexy and that′s not something I normally am. I felt totally uncomfortable," Brooke said.
The following day, the girls met with the director of Elite Model Management Cathy Gould, who threw a party where the girls were the main course. Each girl strutted down the dining room table, and though several of the girls struggled with the unique challenge, Cathy was not convinced by Brooke′s performance. "I had to focus the whole time on staying engaged and not on how uncomfortable I was," Brooke said. In the end, Melrose won the challenge and chose Brooke, Michelle and Amanda to join her in a photo shoot for an editorial spread in Seventeen Magazine.
To test their new knowledge on the fine line between sexy and sleazy, Jay Manuel met the girls for a fashion shoot depicting romance novels with model Fabio. Brooke was asked to depict "desperately holding on to her man," but Jay was not impressed with her performance, and even Fabio noticed that her inexperience showed. "I walk into the room, and I′m a little bit nervous to be honest," Brooke said.
In addition to a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl, this year′s prize package for the winner of The CW′s AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL will include a contract with Elite Model Management and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.

"We would invite musicians that we liked down to start recording and get creative and it′s actually something that just organically turned into a label," recalls Cole. Today, Ironworks is many things -- recording studio, production company, record label and community. "We′re doing things that we love...trying to incorporate that lust for music to make inspired pieces of work, and just hope that over time Ironworks develops a name that represents that inspired work."
I TRUST YOU TO KILL ME is a Manu Boyer film and produced by Pliny Porter and Matthew R. Brady for First Independent Pictures.

MTV Announces ROAD RULES To Return In January 2007 With New Format
ROAD RULES Returns As The Next Generation Of Interactive Reality TV --New Season Is Greenlit For First Quarter 2007
MTV And Bunim-Murray Productions Introduce Industry′s First Interactive Reality Show: Viewers Can Determine The Competitors In Each Episode By Voting On MTV.com
MTV: Music Television announced the return of ROAD RULES, set to premiere in January, 2007. The new season of ROAD RULES returns bigger and better than ever, as MTV and reality television pioneer Bunim-Murray Productions allow viewers to actually determine and control the outcome of each episode. In the spirit of innovation and a dedication to allowing the audience to deeply connect and interact with MTV′s programming, the channel will put the show into the hands of the viewers, making the new season the industry′s first interactive reality show. Each episode will have all the interpersonal drama and big missions the MTV audience loved from the original series plus the opportunity for viewers to call the shots on who ends up in the elimination game. The new season will air within a week of it occurring on the road.
ROAD RULES has been a show that our audience is extremely passionate about, and by allowing our viewers to choose their own ending, we′re placing the show in their hands and evolving the concept of how to involve the audience like never before," said Brian Graden, President, Entertainment, MTVN Music Channels Group, and President, Logo.
In previous ROAD RULES, we followed the adventures of six 18-25 year olds who travel across the United States in an RV guided by a set of clues. Each episode featured the cast in a new destination, with missions, face-offs and jobs they must complete in order to get to the next location. In the new season of ROAD RULES, the cast will continue to travel in an RV tackling one mission each week, but the rules and the game have changed. Here′s how it goes:
The resurrection of ROAD RULES will find six of the most infamous former ROAD RULES cast members as the initial passengers in the RV. After each week′s mission, the cast will return to home base and the cast, themselves, will nominate the "weakest" male and female for elimination.
Immediately after the show airs, viewers at home will vote which of those two cast members will enter an elimination face-off, like the Gauntlet/Inferno/Duel of previous Real World/Road Rules Challenges, that will air exclusively on MTV Overdrive.
At the same time the viewers are nominating a cast member to send into elimination, they will also vote for that nominee′s challenger from an internet replacement board of potential male and female replacements.
The replacement board will live on MTV.com, and will feature video packages, personal blogs and other stats/background on each potential replacement.
If the current ROAD RULES cast member wins the competition, he/she returns to the RV -- and the cast-mates who nominated him/her for elimination.
If he/she loses, the challenger replaces him/her with the now ex-"Road Ruler" joining the other potential replacements on the internet board where he/she can lobby the viewers to put him/her back in the game. The next on-air episode will begin with a short re-cap of the Overdrive elimination and the re-entry of the victor of the elimination face-off.
ROAD RULES will be based in California for this cycle, to allow the cast to travel to "overnight" locations for a few days to do their mission and nomination; and then travel back to home base. After each mission, the cast will enter blogs, interviews and personal video diaries that will live on mtv.com. Cast members will also record message updates for the mobile content. Viewers will get the opportunity to win the chance to watch the elimination game live along with the cast members and even give pre-game predictions/hopes on camera. Once the elimination is over, the cast takes off on another mission for several days before returning to home base.
"We at Bunim-Murray and M Theory, our new media division, are thrilled to be relaunching ROAD RULES with our partners at MTV," said Jonathan Murray, ROAD RULES Co-creator and Executive Producer. "ROAD RULES was the first reality game to hit the air in 1995, so it seems fitting that 11 years later, it will be the first reality game to go multi-platform."

William Shatner To Host SHOW ME THE MONEY, Premiering Wednesday, November 22
SHOW ME THE MONEY, a new high-octane variety/game show series to be hosted by Emmy-winning television legend William Shatner, will premiere Wednesday, November 22 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
In SHOW ME THE MONEY contestants must answer a minimum of six trivia questions. After each answer, the contestant chooses from among thirteen stunning dancers on stage, each of whom holds a scroll with a dollar figure to be added or subtracted -- for correct or incorrect answers -- to the contestant′s total.
A correct answer, combined with choosing a dancer holding big money, can quickly catapult the player′s winnings into the millions. But a wrong answer, combined with the wrong dancer, can wipe out winnings in an instant. There is no opportunity to play it safe - contestants will be tempted to take the money and run, but this rollercoaster ride of a game show requires that you play to the very end.
Adding to the variety aspect of the show are the thirteen stunning Million-Dollar Dancers who are always ready to break into any style of dance, while audacious master of ceremonies William Shatner spontaneously boogies with the beauties on stage.
With a career that spans some 50 years, Shatner is well known for originating the role of Captain James T. Kirk in the original "Star Trek" television series, and has remained a pop culture icon whose stature seems to grow with each passing year. Shatner will continue in his other ABC role, that of Denny Crane on ABC′s hit series "Boston Legal," for which he has won back-to-back Emmy Awards.

* The First European Hometown Date in Series History is Marred by A Serious Communication Breakdown
Lorenzo is feeling the mounting pressure as he leaves to visit each of the final four women′s hometowns and receives some rude and unexpected awakenings, on THE BACHELOR: ROME, Monday, October 30 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Traveling to Miami, Lorenzo spends a spectacular day shark fishing with Jennifer, but when he meets her high school football coach father, it′s obvious the man is extremely overprotective of his only daughter and is not impressed by the Bachelor′s title of Prince. After an awkward dinner, Jennifer′s father shows off his other pride and joy to Lorenzo - his gun collection. And to make sure he gets the message, he tells Lorenzo he′d have no problem using the weapon if anyone hurt his daughter!
In San Diego, Lorenzo discovers that Sadie′s moral fortitude and her sexual abstinence stems from her devout Christian family, who welcome him with open arms. The couple share an intimate moment at the end of the day on a moonlit beach in front of a bonfire.
There are more surprises in store for Lorenzo when he meets up with Lisa in Portland, Oregon. Lisa′s friend pays a visit, carrying a wedding gown for the marriage-obsessed Lisa to wear, stunning the panicked Bachelor. Lorenzo learns that Lisa has a definite timeline to wed and have children. As his potential future with Lisa flashes before his eyes, he is treated to an uncomfortable impromptu Pilates session led by Lisa′s mother.
Back in Italy - for the first time ever - there is a European hometown date with Agnese′s family in Venice. The beauty of the city, however, is overwhelmed by the difficulty Lorenzo has in communicating with her family when he discovers they speak absolutely no English.
An emotional Lorenzo must dispatch one broken-hearted Bachelorette home in tears as he prepares to take the final three women on fantastic overnight dates.
The four remaining women are:
* Agnese, 24, student, who currently resides in Venice, Italy
* Jennifer, 24, teacher, who currently resides in Pembroke Pines, FL
* Lisa, 25, marketing manager, who currently resides in Portland, OR

National Geographic Channel Uncovers The Unexpected Behind Those Everyday Items
From Shaving to Toilets to Packages, NGC Reveals the Surprising Stories Behind Life′s Daily Rituals
Modern conveniences such as disposable razors, toilets and tamper-proof aspirin bottles are just part of the backdrop of our daily lives - objects we habitually see, we use absent-mindedly, and we couldn′t live without. Underappreciated, mundane and presumably dull, these objects are also rich with history, rife with controversy... and are absolutely ingenious.
The National Geographic Channel (NGC) presents three specials - A Closer Shave, Flushed and Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up - that explore the science, art and cultural impact of some of daily life′s common paraphernalia. A Closer Shave and Flushed premiere on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at 9 and 10 p.m. ET/PT. The premiere of Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up follows on Wednesday, November 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Each one-hour show focuses on the evolution of a seemingly simple thing - shaving, toilets and packaging - tracing its course through history as it takes root in our culture and ultimately changes the way we go about our daily routines. And along the way, surprising facts are revealed.
Get to the bottom of such questions as: "What tool was first used for shaving?" "How do astronauts go to the bathroom?" "What bubble-like packaging sent 3,000 people to the emergency room?" "How many miles of whiskers will the average man grow over his lifetime?"
Venture inside high-tech laboratories where scientists and technicians are taking well-known products to the next level. Viewers will learn how tiny spy cameras may be the key to the next leap forward in razor technology, and how packages full of some of the world′s deadliest cargo are built to withstand the most extreme tests imaginable. Each show draws from a wide variety of sources, including interviews with scientists, historians and sociologists to explore the past and future of surprisingly complex everyday things.
A Closer Shave
Tuesday, November 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Could our modern Western preference for hairless mates have its origins in prehistoric dating? A Closer Shave gets to the root of one of life′s daily rituals, tracing the quest to be rid of unwanted hair back more than 30,000 years. The show explores the shaving methods humanity has employed over thousands of years - from sharpened rocks to the multiblade disposable razor - stopping to gaze back in distress at some of the hair-raising designs that never quite caught on. It also features the story of two inventors named Gillette and Schick, who made shaving history and spawned one of the most intense corporate rivalries of the past century. Researchers demonstrate high-tech designs for shaving perfection from thermal imaging devices that detect slight variations in electric shavers′ heat to computer simulations that reveal a microscopic view of atoms from a single piece of hair being sheared apart.
Flushed
Tuesday, November 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
Flushed dares to tackle the key item in one of life′s remaining private sanctuaries ... the toilet. The show suggests how this discreet device, often the household′s most underappreciated item, may in fact be the key to modern civilization. Flushed explores how people through the ages have taken care of their private business, from the sociable Romans, to the buttoned-up Victorians, to astronauts answering nature′s call in zero gravity. The program examines the rise and fall of Roman plumbing and the visionary inventions of clean-living crusaders throughout the centuries. Viewers will venture inside modern day′s Deer Island Treatment Plant near Boston, a $4 billion state-of-the-art waterworks plant that processes 350 million gallons of waste water in a single day. Then viewers will go into a New York City high-rise that functions as a self-contained wastewater plant, treating water in the basement and then piping it right back upstairs into the toilets. The program also tackles the toilet′s environmental impact and reveals how the toilet of the future could help solve the water problems of the world.
Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up
Wednesday, November 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
Packages have been a cornerstone of consumer culture ever since the ancient Greeks and Romans started storing wine in ceramic vases. Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up takes viewers to the cutting edge of modern industry where researchers and scientists are developing packages that can withstand the impact of an F16 airplane, outwit shoplifters and reduce the amount of landfill trash. Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up visits two testing facilities in rural Pennsylvania as engineers put packages through extreme tests, simulating such effects as weather conditions at the North Pole or a high-speed train crash. The show also explains how the CD jewel case intensified customer frustration and reveals how the so-called "clamshell" packaging is responsible for sending 3,000 people to the emergency room in one year alone. This program also sheds light on two forms of packaging - a revolutionary new compostable plastic made from corn and a plastic formula created with tapioca starch - that may point the way to a cleaner, greener future.
These three shows find the unexpected in the ordinary. Informative and entertaining, each hour-long special provides a comprehensive look at the fascinating stories behind some of the things we take for granted in our daily lives.
A Closer Shave, Flushed and Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up are produced by the Atlas Media Corp for the National Geographic Channel. Executive producer for Atlas Media Corp is Bruce David Klein. Series producers are Shawn Cuddy and William McClane. Producer/writer for A Closer Shave and Shrink-Wrapped & Boxed Up is William McClane, and Flushed producer/writer is Ted Schillinger. For the National Geographic Channel, executive producer is Ashley Hoppin; senior vice president of production is Juliet Blake and executive-in-charge of production is John Ford.

These three shows find the unexpected in the ordinary. Informative and entertaining, each hour-long special provides a comprehensive look at the fascinating stories behind some of the things we take for granted in our daily lives.

Meet this season′s cast:
Alex, 22 - Houston, TX
Alex is the product of a recipe that includes a heap of cockiness, a dash of street smarts, tad bit of sensitivity and a whole lot of sex appeal. However, this over confident, Texan flirt does not lack passion. He holds many things close to his heart; such as, his position as Division I swimmer at ASU, his family, his women (yes, plural!) and his never-ending escapades at the hottest parties. Yet, he yearns to build credit as a mature gentleman. Will the Real World house be a place for Alex to grow... or regress?
Brooke, 24 - Nashville, TN
Raised by two clinical psychologists in a sheltered environment, Brooke is not your typical southern belle. She′s grown up to be everything her society averts. Admitting to be an extremely sexual person, Brooke ended a long-term interracial relationship just prior to joining the cast of Real World to see if her dream of stardom could become a reality. One thing is for sure, life for this dainty-looking, self-assured, independent young woman is ready for all the challenges the Real World has to offer.
Stephen, 22 - Washington, DC
Stephen is a charmer who flies in the face of convention. Originally from Sacramento, Stephen attends Howard University in Washington, DC. A hardcore Republican conservative who is against gay marriage, Stephen can be quite outspoken, but also deeply religious. He′s extremely ambitious and loves to be the center of attention. He′s also an expert in persuasion and salesmanship. There′s no question that he will expect to be top dog at the house. The problem is his roommates are probably thinking the same thing about themselves.
Colie, 22 - East Brunswick, NJ
This sorority president is probably the strongest personality in the house. Her disciplined attitude comprises of making profound promises, keeping her word, and displaying a go-getter attitude. Colie′s constant need for attention (especially from the male kind) and her free-spirited nature makes it easy to label her as the typical crazy party girl. But those who care to observe would notice a softer heart. Colie will be sure to stir things up, contributing her own brand of unpredictability to the mix.
Tyrie, 23 - Omaha, NE
Raised by a father from a military background, Tyrie is the product of a strict and aggressive upbringing. That served as the main roadblock for a healthy father-son relationship in the family. While Tyrie searched for a safe haven, he found refuge in a gang. Today, Tyrie makes an effort to leave his past behind and remain focused and determined to succeed in life. Already renowned on his college campus for his sharp wit, passion for politics, and big heart, Tyrie is ready to take things to the next level.
Jennifer, 22 - Martinez, CA
Jenn has played the typical happy roles in her life as the cheerleader, popular girl and party animal. However behind this fun-loving facade, this Oakland Raiderette cheerleader yearns for emotional attachment. Her quest for real happiness stems from her inability to allow herself to be vulnerable, love and trust. Can the experience of being one of seven strangers help her find her softer side?
Davis, 23 - Marietta, GA
Davis is the typical blonde-haired, blue-eyed, frat boy. Or is he? Hailing from the south, his upbringing was steeped in conservative Christianity. There′s only one issue...Davis is gay. He first realized this in sixth grade, and came out to his mom a few years later. Not surprisingly, Davis′ revelation was not received well within his family. Applying for the Real World was a big step for Davis. He′s spent most of his life afraid to show the world who he truly is, but now he′s ready for that to change.
THE REAL WORLD launched the modern reality television genre, and is the longest-running reality series in history. Past seasons have taken place in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, New Orleans, Chicago, Las Vegas, Paris, San Diego, Philadelphia, Austin and Key West. The show debuted its first season set in New York City in 1992. Each season, the show brings seven young strangers to live together in a new city and rolls the cameras 24-7, witnessing as their lives intersect, their ideas are challenged, and their passions emerge.

Also, a sneak peek of the season premiere with extra casting footage will be available on MTV.com beginning November 15th.
This season viewers will see the cast go from nightlife in trendy Mile High City to wildlife in the Rocky Mountains. While experiencing all the excitement that Denver has to offer, the roommates will also work with kids who were affected by Hurricane Katrina for their job at Outward Bound Wilderness. Working with Outward Bound Wilderness, a non-profit educational organization, will take the cast to new heights as they learn to scale mountains and live without the comforts of home. The roommates breakaway during the season, escaping on an Asian adventure to Thailand. However, all is not well in the house this season when clashes over race, religion and homosexuality come to a head. And tensions rise when quick hook-ups and inter-cast romances complicate matters.
Fans can check MTV.com now to view the trailer, cast photos and bios and on demand, get extended profiles of each roommate and watch casting footage not seen on the special and get to know more about the roommates. Cast members′ music video playlists will also be available online after the on-air premiere.
MTV.com will also premiere the "The Real World: Denver Casting Special" on November 8th, a week before it debuts on-air. Each week, beginning November 22nd, viewers can get primed for the next episode with an exclusive sneak peek of every episode a week before the on-air premiere. Plus fans can join in on "The Real World After Show," a live post show after select episodes. This hosted talk show will feature Real World alumni as weekly guests and call-ins from THE REAL WORLD: DENVER roommates. Viewers will also be able to call into the show and ask the guests and roommates questions.
On VOD, fans can watch "Kiss and Tell," a look at some of this season′s most hasty hook-ups, as well as "House Tour," "Mile High Club," a special tour of Denver hotspots featuring interviews with locals who mixed it up with the cast, and "High Altitude/Bad Attitude," a special extended trailer that mashes beautiful shots of Colorado wilderness with the most heated fights of the season.
MTV Mobile will run the weekly sneak peeks and other short form material from mtv.com and VOD on all carrier distribution partners (Verizon Wireless VCast, Sprint, Cingular, Amp′d Mobile and Helio), mobile will also offer Real World text-message sneak peeks, where users can sign up to receive weekly sneak peeks via SMS, as well as The Real World "Fact or Fiction" game, a weekly feature with Real World trivia questions sent via SMS. An online mobile boutique will have ringtones and wallpapers from the show available at mobile.mtv.com
Fox Reality Announces THE ACADEMY - Follows Recruits In Los Angeles Sheriff′s Department
New Fox Reality Original Series THE ACADEMY (Working Title) Follows Grueling Training in the Los Angeles Sheriff′s Department Where Recruits Are Pushed to Their Limits
The Los Angeles Sheriff′s Department is tough, and making it as a recruit is even tougher. Fox Reality, the all-reality, all-the-time cable network, presents a new original series from Scott Sternberg Productions, THE ACADEMY (working title), which documents the intense process of breaking down and building up raw recruits, turning them into ready-for-duty Deputy Sheriffs.
Filming begins on October 30, otherwise known as "Black Monday," the recruits′ first full day of training at The Academy. This is the first time the recruits will experience the many physical and mental training challenges they must overcome in the next 18 weeks. Self-defense and weapon use training, dealing with aggressive assailants, and learning the intricacies of gang warfare are just some of the exercises. There is also a series of detailed written and oral tests, which recruits must pass or they wash out.
"Fox Reality was chosen over a variety of networks to produce this series with Scott Sternberg," said David Lyle, General Manager of Fox Reality. "We are honored to showcase one of the premier Sheriff′s Departments in the U.S." The original production, THE ACADEMY (working title), will feature ten initial hour-long episodes. This edgy, riveting series will premiere in May 2007 on Fox Reality.
Executive Producer Scott Sternberg notes, "It will be a real privilege to be the first to chronicle the extraordinary stories of the men and women who dream of becoming deputy sheriffs in the largest agency in the United States. This training process is one of the most intense in the world and we have been given an unprecedented opportunity to show viewers firsthand what it takes to become a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff′s Department."
Recruits will train at the Los Angeles County Sheriff′s Department Training Academy. THE ACADEMY (working title) will follow the rigorous 18-week course as the training process raises stress levels, sometimes beyond endurance. Not all the recruits have what it takes to become a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff, but all will have their lives changed by the experience. The recruits realize earning a badge comes at a personal cost - but it′s the only way to train.
"The Los Angeles County Sheriff′s Department is excited about the joint venture with Fox Reality in featuring our training academy," said Assistant Sheriff Doyle Campbell. "It will allow viewers and prospective candidates to have an inside view of the day-to-day rigors that the SheriffÕs Academy provides its recruits over the span of 18 weeks. It will show the commitment necessary to succeed in THE ACADEMY."
Scott Sternberg and Scott Weinberger will serve as executive producers on THE ACADEMY (working title). Weinberger has ten years of experience in law enforcement. He has produced and created several shows that tackle the issues of policing, including the ABC drama series "The Marshall."
The Los Angeles Sheriff′s Department has given the producers of THE ACADEMY (working title) unparalleled access into this rarely seen area of law enforcement training. The LASD is a full service law enforcement agency responsible for patrolling 3,154 square miles. LASD duties include apprehending dangerous most-wanted suspects; custody and correctional facilities duties with the world′s largest jail system; inmate information; providing court services and security, and more. The LASD Homicide Bureau is staffed by 100 detectives who investigate over 400 murders per year.
The Sheriff′s Department is a modern arm of law enforcement that trains a diverse group of recruits. Every six weeks, a class starts where 20-25% of the recruits are female.
For more information on the Los Angeles Sheriff′s Department recruitment opportunities, contact: 1-800 233-7889 or visit www.lasd.org.

Series Moves to New Night and Time: Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
From a Devil Dalmatian Fire Dog to a High-Maintenance Pink Maltese to a Pickup-Chasing Blue Heeler, Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan Lends Calm-Assertive Guidance
National Geographic Channel′s Emmy-nominated series DOG WHISPERER with Cesar Millan is returning for a third season and moving to Monday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Monday, October 23. This year the episodes are even more quirky, remarkable, touching ... and, of course, jam-packed with Cesar′s signature "Tsssts!"
From a devil Dalmatian that heats up a firehouse to a French bulldog kicked out of doggy day care to a tire-eating blue heeler, the third season features some of Cesar′s toughest cases yet. Celebrities, including Oscar nominee Virginia Madsen, recording artist legend Patti LaBelle, actress Jada Pinkett Smith and the best-selling author of "Marley & Me," also seek Cesar′s help with their canine dilemmas. And, for the first time, the series travels across the country to aid problem dogs and their desperate owners. In addition to Cesar′s home base of Southern California, episodes for the new season include problem pooches in New York, N.Y.; Atlanta, Ga.; Chicago, Ill.; Dallas, Texas; Omaha, Neb.; Philadelphia, Pa.; and Cleveland, Ohio.
With more than 20 years of experience working with canines, Millan has been called "Dr. Phil for dogs," and for good reason. He has a unique gift of rehabilitating dogs and training their owners. A favorite of "Oprah Winfrey," Cesar was also parodied on a recent episode of "South Park," and his book "Cesar′s Way" (Harmony Books, 2006) has been a fixture on the New York Times best seller list for the past five months. The second season of DOG WHISPERER received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy award. Millan was recently made an honorary member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
World premiere episodes for season three include the following:
Dog Whisperer: Kobe, Banjo and Kisses
Monday, October 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Five years ago, just after the Hoffman family brought home Australian shepherd puppy Kobe, he got into a tragic accident and lost his eye. Since then, Kobe has been biting people and lunging at strangers. The family is practically living in isolation. Will Cesar be able to restore the balance to this household and teach Kobe how to play well with others? Then travel to Nebraska to meet 6-year-old Banjo, a black and tan coonhound rescued from an animal-testing lab. Unfortunately, he′s still deathly afraid of people, even his owner Beverly who′s had him for four years. One vet told her to put Banjo down, but can Cesar help this traumatized pet recover? Next, meet Kisses, a Maltese dyed cotton-candy pink by her owner, Kitten. Adorable as she is, Kisses is also high-maintenance. She exhibits aggressive behavior, nips her owner′s heels and relieves herself on the carpet whenever Kitten′s old roommate stops by. Can Cesar bring harmony to this pink world?
Dog Whisperer: Buster, Holli and Spike & Belle
Monday, October 30, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
On a farm in rural Nebraska, Buster, an 8-year-old blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix, is supposed to play the role of alarm dog for Justin and Aimee Burch - but he does his job a little too well. Buster started attacking the mailman, and then progressed to attacking any delivery or service person. Even the family′s closest friend is attacked whenever he visits. Will Cesar be able to change this overprotective charger? Next, meet Holli, an American Staffordshire terrier severely injured when she was run over by a school bus. To avoid amputation of a limb, her owners Craig and Renee chose to have an experimental surgery done. However, Holli is still not fully recovered. Cesar offers Craig and Renee a special kind of rehabilitation for their beloved canine. Then Cesar helps actress Virginia Madsen and her 11-year-old son Jack find a new dog for their home. Virginia had sought Cesar′s help before, with a shepherd mix named Dixie. Unfortunately, Dixie became very sick, and Virginia had to face the tough decision of putting her down. After many tears, Virginia and Jack decided that was the best decision, but now even their 10-year-old French bulldog Spike is missing her company. Cesar comes in to visit his old friends and help find the dog with the perfect energy for both energetic Jack and the still peppy, but aging, Spike.
Dog Whisperer: Molly, Jane and Genoa
Monday, November 6, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Molly, a 1 1/2-year-old blue heeler in Nebraska, had been chasing her owner Mark Eggers′ pickup truck to the point where, one day, she caught the tire, her teeth stuck, and she flipped over. Since then, Molly has lost an eye and had her lower jaw pushed up through her upper. Cesar makes his way to the rural farmlands of Nebraska to help apply the brakes on Molly′s tire terror. Then meet Jane, an American Eskimo/border collie mix in Chicago that just won′t walk. When her owners Carolyn Gordon and Giuseppe Scurato take her outside, it seems that anything can frighten her and she won′t budge. Can Cesar help Jane overcome her fears of the outside world? Next meet Genoa, a golden retriever that, at times, belies her breed′s gentle nature. When her owner Dan comes home after work, she whines and pants and then rampages throughout the house, trying to find a place to hide. Can Cesar help Genoa waken from her nightmare?
Dog Whisperer: Wilshire and Butch
Monday, November 13, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Firehouse 29 on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles is a city landmark and home to a team of professional firefighters. However, in June 2006, these heroes faced a challenge even L.A.′s finest had no idea how to overcome: a 3-month-old Dalmatian puppy they named Wilshire The Firehouse 29 members had good intentions when they took in the spotted pup, rescued from near-death at a pound, but it wasn′t long before the hyperactive Dalmatian was running the firehouse: bolting out the door into six-lane traffic whenever there′s a call; running over the lunchroom tables looking for scraps of food from the firemen′s meals; and jumping on children who came to visit. If the men can′t teach Wilshire to behave like a proper firehouse dog, it′s certain the city attorney will have him taken away. Can Cesar clear Wilshire′s spotty past and make him a role model for fire dogs everywhere? Next, Cesar travels to the Lone Star State, where he meets Butch, an overly aggressive English bulldog. Butch was attacked by two dogs when he was a puppy, and after his owners nursed him back to health, he became aggressive to the point of biting them. Can Cesar rein in Butch′s out-of-control behavior?

In exclusive story posted Saturday on RealityTVWebsite.com, The Travel Channel (Discovery Communications) responds to allege accusations of a cover-up over safety on the reality TV series MOMS ON THE ROAD AFRICA.
In this story, Jackie Nova, an actress from California stated to RealityTVWebsite.com that the producers of the show have edited Thursday night′s episode "...to cover their butts..." over the accusations that two moms were put in possible danger while filming the series for Travel Channel.
Ms. Nova also stated in her exclusive Blog to RealityTVWebsite.com that there were safety concerns and fears of being sexually assaulted during filming of one episode. This included that two Moms from the series (including herself) were left alone with a child and no security anywhere where strange men were coming in and out of the area in the darkness with comments that sounded to be of a lewd nature
In response to the article, The Travel Channel (Discovery Communications) issued the following written statement to RealityTVWebsite.com Sunday morning:
From Dean Slota the Series Producer:
"I would just like to confirm that Jackie and Amy were pulled out of their host house due to - as Jackie states in her blog "the conditions" NOT as she implies safety issues. At no time during the day were any of the women in danger.
Nothing was witnessed by any member of the crew, the tour guides, or myself. If they had at any time during the day expressed safety concerns we would have responded immediately.
The reality of the situation is that the two women requested to be moved and we moved them. All the other women had a good experience in the village staying with host families and it was always our intention that Jackie and Amy do the same. The fans of the show are witnessing all elements of the Mom′s journey and a vivid look at the trip′s many experiences."
In another written statement provided to RealityTVWebsite.com, Patrick Younge, General Manager/ Executive Vice President of The Travel Channel issued the following:
"The General Manager/Executive Vice President of the Travel Channel has already offered, via the www.travelchannel.com message boards, to meet privately with any of the participants if they are unhappy with how they′ve been portrayed."
This is the posting that Mr. Younge posted on the forums in responses to accusations:
"First I apologise for locking the board/thread earlier. I did it for a simple reason. My network believes in fairness. We broadcast the original material feeling it was a fair, if unflattering, reflection of events. When that protrayal was challenged for veracity its an allegation we take very seriously, as its suggests an abuse of power on our part. Whilst investigating, the allegations continued to flow and it reached a point when so many reputations were being maligned (filmmakers have reputations as well), that I called for a pause so I could get the best possible overview on the facts. I have now done that, Amy′s post is being reinstated and the boards/threads are being unlocked.
Obviously I wasn′t in the field during the shoot, but have now spoken to the executive producer, the series producer who was in the field on the shoot, all three producers who were there either filming these sequences or having discussions with the women and the two editors who worked on the show. We have reviewed some of the rushes which didn′t make the show. They all work for the BBC, which is generally recognised as having some of the highest editorial and ethical standards in the world.
I am confident having completed this exercise that the events depicted in the show were accurate. Why?
The accommodations for all the Moms were set up by the representative of the DCI project on the ground. Amy and Jackie tell this representative, on tape, that they wanted to stay at a hotel about ten minutes after seeing the room. They were encouraged not to do this by the rep and Julianna (the local guide featured in the programme) as this would cause further hurt to Petronella.
The crew took tents and sleeping bags off the truck with a view to Jackie and Amy sleeping under canvas, but when the series producer went to check on them they said they were still unhappy with the situation. At this point he arranged for them to go to a hotel. I want to stress that at no time during these events at Petronella′s did either of the women site ′safety′ as a reason for not staying.
If Jackie and Amy wish to discuss this further I will happily make arrangements to meet with them personally, along with the executive producer and take them through all the unbroadcast material I am aware of and hear any further points they wish to make.
Having done all of the above I do want to make a couple of important points. I don′t believe Jackie and Amy are bad people, nor do ′ believe we have characterised them as such. In my mind all of the Moms were, and are, extremely brave women who left their families behind for seven weeks to experience an African itinerary they had no part in shaping and to do it in the full glare of the cameras.
The whole point of this show was to pull together women who hadn′t travelled and allow them to experience the beauty, riches, poverty and complexity that is Africa. We wanted them to experience it all, 5 Star hotels cheek-by-jowl with townships, safaris, indigenous tribes, extreme sports, politics and race, disease, poverty. We wanted them to do work projects with African people and stay in their homes. This was an example of this request. Ok, this particular event didn′t work out and maybe with hindsight they would have handled it differently. But the facts are no-one died and Petronella′s doing fine. Please lets keep a sense of proportion.
The one point I haven′t been able to clarify is the ′missing days′ in the journals, which were sent by the Moms to the BBC and then onto Travel Channel. Although the copy was edited at no point in the chain does anyone believe they edited out whole days, so I will investigate this further - for all of the women - and then respond to the Moms directly.
Yesterday afternoon, RealityTVWebsite.com talked exclusively with the other Mom who was with Jackie Nova at the time of the incident in question. Amy O′Sullivan, a realtor from South Haven, MI, disputes the claim that the Travel Channel is making that they were never in danger. She says that in fact they are lying and there were other cases when they were put in danger. In the 20+ minute interview, Ms. O′Sullivan provided her side of the story and here are excerpts from that interview.
Frustrating to me was that the camera was not on for the majority of that day and evening so the response from the Travel Channel saying that it was an "accurate depicted" couldn′t necessarily be true because they wasn′t proof and they won′t take our word for it. Jackie and I are being thrown under the bus.
We didn′t act perfect to the situation but the premise of the show was to put us in a situation before any advance warning of what we were to be encountered with.
So for them to say everything was to be checked out prior to going there (to the house) - it makes you wonder why Jackie and I were assign to a house that had no beds, no pillows, no blankets. They contradict themselves by saying we made sure it was safe and we have been there. If they have then, they would have told us to bring a sleeping bag.
It just seemed like a setup. What they don′t show you is that we were the first (to go to a house) and we didn′t know where the other moms were - we were all scattered about. And if something happen, we had no way in contacting the producers because we had no phones.
Next door to the home was bar... men were lurking outside the bar... but the cameras were not there.
The producer (Dean Slota) at that point had not been there. The director, Elaine, was there for about an hour. What they didn′t show was we walked back to house, spent alot of time with the little girl and visited with her Great, Great Grandma. They have alot of footage that they did not show. They also did not show the room we were suppose to stay at first and the bar.
The first time the producer saw where we were staying (later that evening) was when he came to get us. And there were no cameras.
And when the producer came in with no camera - "he said we had to go". We told him we were fine and we could stay there - it was only for a night. He said "this was not safe - this was not what we thought and you are coming with me... leave your things!" And that was what we did and now they are saying the completely opposite.
We had no protection, we had no way of contacting anybody. If something were to happen - we didn′t know where we were and we found out later that the producers were at a hotel (over a hour away).
Some of the other moms were given cell phones and cell phone numbers - we were given none of that.
For them to say it was completely safe and they had checked it out ahead of time - is a lie! And that is not the only time we did not feel safe on the trip.
We were put into another situation with patients that had tuberculous. We were never taught how tuberculous is transmitted, what we should do, what we shouldn′t do, how close we should get. Again, the whole premise of the show was to put us in situations without advance warnings or any sort of education on what was going to be seen because they felt it would make better TV.
So some of the time we did feel unsafe and that is one time Jackie and I felt unsafe (back at the house). And the other mothers can defend themselves and say ok that is exactly how it happen - but the truth is most of the time there were no cameras there - just Jackie and myself.
We did not see the other moms until the next day. So for any other moms to say what it was like - they are just trying to bash us.
And then the Vice President (Patrick Younge Of Travel Channel) gets on the forums and defends (things) and said the (day)light was the same and there is no way they could have edited (things) differently. This is so further from the truth - it was dark when we left to head to the hotel.
It kind′of bothers me that the Travel Channel says that they know for a fact that this is how it happen - because they don′t. There is no way anyone knows other than myself, Jackie and the producer. And he (producer) is not going to tell the truth because it is not going to make him look very good because he put some of us in danger in a couple of situations.
Someone posted my personal information on the forums (after the show) and I have been getting alot of hate email. I post something in my defense (on the forums) and it is pulled within an half hour. And then someone post my personal information and it was up there for hours.
And the fact that our diaries are both gone from this day (on the official website) ....?
It is pretty sad on how the show has gone because when we were all casted with the guarantee that it wasn′t going to be a reality TV show. All of us could tell you that - all eight of us (Moms).
What also upsets me is that they said they would be happy to meet with us individually if we had concerns. No one (From The Travel Channel) has every contacted me. I don′t even know how to get ahold of Patrick Younge. They only posted that on the forums - it is just damage control.
The only good thing that has come out of all of this is that seeing the need of the people there (in Africa) to help. Why it took an episode where it looks like we are rude Americans for that to happen - I am not sure. There are people now who show concern for the families and they are now sending things. Both Jackie and I, since the show, have sent clothes, toys, money and school supplies. So if it takes something like that for all of us to help - then that is a good thing and will be worth it in the end.
MOMS ON THE ROAD AFRICA is shown on the Travel Channel Thursdays evening at 10:00 pm EST.

In Another Safety Mishap - Moms Exposed To Patients That Had Tuberculous And Were Not Told Before Hand To Take Any Precautionary Measures
By Scott Thompson - Editor
RealityTVWebsite.com.
