MTV Brings Jennifer Lopez′s MOVES To The Channel

New Music Reality Series Featuring and Executive Produced by The Dynamic Lopez Scheduled To Air Q4, 2006

MTV has greenlit MOVES, a new music reality series about the lives of dancers working to make it in the business. As executive producer, Jennifer Lopez played an integral role in selecting and auditioning the dancers and will make cameo appearances throughout the season. The series is scheduled to premiere Q4, 2006 with 8 episodes.

From the rush of dancing for thirty-thousand screaming fans, to the struggle of paying the rent, from soundstage to center stage, dance studio to dance floor, MTV will follow six dancers with six interconnected stories as they give their all to achieve their dreams.

In this intensely competitive world of professional dance, MTV viewers will meet the following dream seekers -- Staci, the former Pussycat Doll member who wants to become a singer and is betting it all on her new CD; Jersey, the young ingenue hoping that dance will be her ticket to fame and her way out of debt; Nolan, the young dancer who battled personal troubles to make it to this pointÉhe just needs one big break; Blake, the wunderkind dance diva who is quickly becoming one of the best dancers in Hollywood - trouble is he knows it, and he makes sure everyone else does too; Kenny, the former baseball player from Boston who got his first big break dancing with Jennifer Lopez... when he′s not auditioning, he′s out partying; and Celestina, the driven Hip-Hop hottie from Washington DC, who sees dance as a first step to building her empire.

"There are very few people who have attained the level of success Jennifer has. Across music, film and more, she is recognized worldwide, and it all began with dance," said Lois Curren, Executive Vice President, Entertainment and Programming, MTV. "Now she will share her experience and knowledge with a new generation of dancers, and we′ll find out if they have what it takes to stand up to her expectations."

"I started out as a dancer, and I know what that world is," said Jennifer Lopez. "These dancers have dedicated their lives to this, and honestly, the glory is not always there. It′s something they do only out of love. It′s a tough life and I want to show that struggle."

Jennifer Lopez is executive producer with Simon Fields, a partner in Lopez′s company, Nuyorican. Rod Aissa and Jesse Ignjatovic are executive producers. Maurissa Tancharoen and Kevin Tancharoen, who are represented by ICM, are co-executive producers. Lopez is represented by the William Morris Agency.
