AMERICA′S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK Making A Difference Like Never Before Saturday, September 30, On FOX
Unprecedented Response by AMW Viewers to Help Crime Victim
Last week, AMERICA′S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK featured the story of Jacqueline - an elderly woman who lives on the street and was brutally raped and beaten by an unknown assailant in New York City. She courageously fought back and yanked a thick gold necklace from her attacker; DNA evidence on the chain linked the unidentified man to three other assaults on older women in Miami Beach.
While AMW is predicated on generating viewers′ support to help authorities investigate crimes, the show′s viewers went above and beyond this past week. After Jacqueline′s story aired, the AMW Hotline was overwhelmed - not just with tips to help police investigate the case, but with hundreds of offers to help Jacqueline.
"The outpouring of love and support from AMERICA'S MOST WANTED viewers is unlike anything we′ve ever seen," said AMW producer Jon Leiberman. "Every week, we call on people to do the right thing and help us take down fugitives. This time, the viewers went a step further, not only by changing one woman′s life - but by changing her entire outlook on the world."
In an effort to turn this heartfelt concern into action, AMW approached Care for the Homeless, a well-known and highly-regarded social services agency in New York, which will assist Jacqueline in rebuilding her life. The support of AMW viewers will help Care for the Homeless to make sure that Jacqueline - and other homeless women - receive the medical care, housing and support services they need to regain stability and safety in their lives.
An update on Jacqueline′s story will air on tomorrow night′s episode of AMERICA′S MOST WANTED (Saturday, Sept. 30, 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Information about how to help Jacqueline can be found at the Care For The Homeless website, www.careforthehomeless.org. Details on the hunt for the rapist who attacked Jacqueline can be found at www.amw.com.

Exclusive Interview With Megan Morris - Second Model Voted Off On AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL
On Wednesday night, Megan Morris, a bartender from San Francisco, CA, was the second girl eliminated during hit reality TV series, AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL. During judging, Nigel commented that Megan had a great body and bone structure, but that she didn′t bring that to her photograph, as it was the weakest of the bunch.
Our own RealityTVWebsite.com Elaine James caught up with Megan in this exclusive one-on-one interview.
Elaine James: During the makeovers, what did you think when Tyra revealed that you would be going Pixie Blond during your makeover?
Megan Morris: I wasn′t really surprised, but on the same note, I was really excited because I really loved the icy blond hair. I thought that they really did a great job stepping it up.
Elaine James: Have you kept your new look?
Megan Morris: I′ve kept it exactly the same except for the white eyebrows. I went back to brown because I liked that better.
Elaine James: So, as a short-haired girl, did you feel as if Jaeda was over-reacting when she was told that she would get all of her hair chopped off?
Megan Morris: I think that probably anybody from the outside that was watching the show would say that she was over-reacting. But your hair is a representation of your personality and it was a part of her. Having your hair all chopped off could be a little nerve racking, especially when she has no choice in the matter, unless she wants to get kicked off right them, which she got pretty close.
Elaine James: So tell me about how crazy the elevator challenge was.
Megan Morris: Oh! That was so much fun! It was crazy and I was so nervous. Before we started, I was like, how am I going to do this? Starting out, I don′t even hardly wear makeup and I was trying to throw makeup on in 12 seconds and run to the elevator. I was laughing the whole time and some of the other girls were very, very serious about it. They were pushing and shoving. It was hard, but it was really fun.
Elaine James: You said that you were laughing the whole time. Throughout the whole show, that is what we liked about you is that you always seemed to have a smile on your face.
Megan Morris: I don′t like to be completely serious all the time. Depending on the situation, it can be really damaging too. So I try to have a good time; what ever happens, happens. I′m kind of a risk taker and I think that goes along with taking things lightheartedly.
Elaine James: So tell me what it was like to meet Queen Latifa.
Megan Morris: I loved her! It was such a pleasant surprise. Her personality just shines so much. There are not a lot of celebrities that I look up to. She is one of those few people that are just so warm, friendly and intelligent and funny, all wrapped up into one person. I felt very fortunate that I got to meet her.
Elaine James: After the elevator challenge, everyone went back to the house and we watched as the drama unfolded as Monique spent 3.5 hours on the phone. Was she a continuous source of drama or was the show just edited to appear that way?
Megan Morris: There were other girls that were involved in drama. I thought Eugenia was somewhat of an instigator of drama. Monique was in the situation that she really didn′t want to talk with anyone in the house, but maybe Eugenia or Jaeda. She really isolated herself. Melrose kind of caused some of the drama, but still less as much as Monique. They really showed everything that she did. I was surprised that she started causing this drama, because before we got into the house, we were actually getting along pretty well and talking about being room mates once we got in and then once we were in the house, everything changed and she just had this everybody is my enemy mentality and I′m gonna make hell. It was really disappointing to see her character go down like that.
Elaine James: Tell me about what happened at the final shoot. How distracting was it to work with your spinning Princess Leiya buns in your hair?
Megan Morris: I was so upset at the shoot. I wasn′t sad at all, I was mad and I was disappointed. I knew what I was doing and I was taking too much direction from the photographer to the point to where I couldn′t give off the model quality that I knew was necessary. I felt constrained that when I would try to do what I wanted to do, she would point me in the opposite direction. I think that is why everyone was disappointed. I learned that I have to have a good balance. That is what I learned the most is to listen to my instincts. The time that I was on the show, I learned so much and it was an excellent learning experience.
Elaine James: When it came down to you a Jaeda in the bottom two, who did you think would be going home?
Megan Morris: I was surprised that it was Jaeda standing next to me. I thought it was going to be Monique. I wasn′t surprised that I was one of the two after hearing what the judges had to say about my photo, I was surprised that I was the one sent home. I know that I have so much more potential. I was disappointed though because you only have that one shot and that is what you are judged on and I struck out. That goes to show you that you just have to hit it every time.
Elaine James: So what is next for you?
Megan Morris: I′m definitely on my way to pursuing more modeling. I′ve had some calls from people that are interested in me. On top of that, I′ve also started a medical animation production company called Love and Splendor. So besides running my business, I′ll also be modeling on the side. Those are the 2 things that I love in life.
Elaine James: Who will you be rooting for to win?
Megan Morris: I′ll be rooting for Michelle. She was my buddy on the show and I see so much potential in her. She photographs so well and on top of that she has a killer personality. She′s got it all in my eyes.

DOG WHISPER Returns For A Third Season On October 23 For National Geographic Channel
Problem Pooches Beware! National Geographic Channel′s DOG WHISPERER Returns For A Third Season
Series Moves to New Night and Time: Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
From a Devil Dalmatian Fire Dog to a High-Maintenance Pink Maltese to a Pickup-Chasing Blue Heeler, Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan Lends Calm-Assertive Guidance
National Geographic Channel′s Emmy-nominated series DOG WHISPERER with Cesar Millan is returning for a third season and moving to Monday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Monday, October 23. This year the episodes are even more quirky, remarkable, touching ... and, of course, jam-packed with Cesar′s signature "Tsssts!"
From a devil Dalmatian that heats up a firehouse to a French bulldog kicked out of doggy day care to a tire-eating blue heeler, the third season features some of Cesar′s toughest cases yet. Celebrities, including Oscar nominee Virginia Madsen, recording artist legend Patti LaBelle, actress Jada Pinkett Smith and the best-selling author of "Marley & Me," also seek Cesar′s help with their canine dilemmas. And, for the first time, the series travels across the country to aid problem dogs and their desperate owners. In addition to Cesar′s home base of Southern California, episodes for the new season include problem pooches in New York, N.Y.; Atlanta, Ga.; Chicago, Ill.; Dallas, Texas; Omaha, Neb.; Philadelphia, Pa.; and Cleveland, Ohio.
With more than 20 years of experience working with canines, Millan has been called "Dr. Phil for dogs," and for good reason. He has a unique gift of rehabilitating dogs and training their owners. A favorite of "Oprah Winfrey," Cesar was also parodied on a recent episode of "South Park," and his book "Cesar′s Way" (Harmony Books, 2006) has been a fixture on the New York Times best seller list for the past five months. The second season of DOG WHISPERER received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy award. Millan was recently made an honorary member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
World premiere episodes for season three include the following:
Dog Whisperer: Kobe, Banjo and Kisses
Monday, October 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Five years ago, just after the Hoffman family brought home Australian shepherd puppy Kobe, he got into a tragic accident and lost his eye. Since then, Kobe has been biting people and lunging at strangers. The family is practically living in isolation. Will Cesar be able to restore the balance to this household and teach Kobe how to play well with others? Then travel to Nebraska to meet 6-year-old Banjo, a black and tan coonhound rescued from an animal-testing lab. Unfortunately, he′s still deathly afraid of people, even his owner Beverly who′s had him for four years. One vet told her to put Banjo down, but can Cesar help this traumatized pet recover? Next, meet Kisses, a Maltese dyed cotton-candy pink by her owner, Kitten. Adorable as she is, Kisses is also high-maintenance. She exhibits aggressive behavior, nips her owner′s heels and relieves herself on the carpet whenever Kitten′s old roommate stops by. Can Cesar bring harmony to this pink world?
Dog Whisperer: Buster, Holli and Spike & Belle
Monday, October 30, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
On a farm in rural Nebraska, Buster, an 8-year-old blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix, is supposed to play the role of alarm dog for Justin and Aimee Burch - but he does his job a little too well. Buster started attacking the mailman, and then progressed to attacking any delivery or service person. Even the family′s closest friend is attacked whenever he visits. Will Cesar be able to change this overprotective charger? Next, meet Holli, an American Staffordshire terrier severely injured when she was run over by a school bus. To avoid amputation of a limb, her owners Craig and Renee chose to have an experimental surgery done. However, Holli is still not fully recovered. Cesar offers Craig and Renee a special kind of rehabilitation for their beloved canine. Then Cesar helps actress Virginia Madsen and her 11-year-old son Jack find a new dog for their home. Virginia had sought Cesar′s help before, with a shepherd mix named Dixie. Unfortunately, Dixie became very sick, and Virginia had to face the tough decision of putting her down. After many tears, Virginia and Jack decided that was the best decision, but now even their 10-year-old French bulldog Spike is missing her company. Cesar comes in to visit his old friends and help find the dog with the perfect energy for both energetic Jack and the still peppy, but aging, Spike.
Dog Whisperer: Molly, Jane and Genoa
Monday, November 6, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Molly, a 1 1/2-year-old blue heeler in Nebraska, had been chasing her owner Mark Eggers′ pickup truck to the point where, one day, she caught the tire, her teeth stuck, and she flipped over. Since then, Molly has lost an eye and had her lower jaw pushed up through her upper. Cesar makes his way to the rural farmlands of Nebraska to help apply the brakes on Molly′s tire terror. Then meet Jane, an American Eskimo/border collie mix in Chicago that just won′t walk. When her owners Carolyn Gordon and Giuseppe Scurato take her outside, it seems that anything can frighten her and she won′t budge. Can Cesar help Jane overcome her fears of the outside world? Next meet Genoa, a golden retriever that, at times, belies her breed′s gentle nature. When her owner Dan comes home after work, she whines and pants and then rampages throughout the house, trying to find a place to hide. Can Cesar help Genoa waken from her nightmare?
Dog Whisperer: Wilshire and Butch
Monday, November 13, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT
Firehouse 29 on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles is a city landmark and home to a team of professional firefighters. However, in June 2006, these heroes faced a challenge even L.A.′s finest had no idea how to overcome: a 3-month-old Dalmatian puppy they named Wilshire The Firehouse 29 members had good intentions when they took in the spotted pup, rescued from near-death at a pound, but it wasn′t long before the hyperactive Dalmatian was running the firehouse: bolting out the door into six-lane traffic whenever there′s a call; running over the lunchroom tables looking for scraps of food from the firemen′s meals; and jumping on children who came to visit. If the men can′t teach Wilshire to behave like a proper firehouse dog, it′s certain the city attorney will have him taken away. Can Cesar clear Wilshire′s spotty past and make him a role model for fire dogs everywhere? Next, Cesar travels to the Lone Star State, where he meets Butch, an overly aggressive English bulldog. Butch was attacked by two dogs when he was a puppy, and after his owners nursed him back to health, he became aggressive to the point of biting them. Can Cesar rein in Butch′s out-of-control behavior?

Eight Moms Venture From Their Everyday Lives In America To A Life-Changing Experience For MOMS ON THE ROAD: AFRICA
Travel Channel is sending eight moms away from the comfort of their homes in the United States on a life-changing journey in MOMS ON THE ROAD: AFRICA. Premiering tonight (Thursday), September 28 at 9:00 PM (ET/PT) and Thursdays thereafter at 10:00 PM (ET/PT), the women set out across four countries in southern Africa - from Cape Town to Victoria Falls - for six weeks.
Despite the commonality of motherhood, the wide range of ages, ethnicities and personalities spark both friendship and tension through their experiences abroad and their lives back home; including race, poverty, their relationships with their spouses and for one, her sexuality. The eight women who embarked on this journey include:
* Tammy Wellnizt, Chadron, NE, a rancher who must leave the safety of her Nebraska farm to welcome the challenge of this trip.
* Pat Gay, Los Angeles, CA, a retired psychologist who spent many years counseling AIDS patients and has a strong interest in learning more about the impact of the epidemic in Africa.
* Adrienne Brawley, Vienna, VA, a housewife longing for her own adventure.
* Mary Beth Leland, Richmond, CA, a special ed teacher and violence prevention coordinator who believes the trip is an opportunity for enlightenment that she can bring back to her community in the United States.
* Camisha Williams, Chicago, IL, a part-time student and cook will use this trip as a catalyst for a monumental life decision.
* Jackie Nova, Tarzana, CA, an actress who will experience a different culture for the first time.
* Amy Wimberger, Fort Collins, CO, a housewife and student who has embarked upon a courageous path of self-discovery. Amy O′Sullivan, South Haven, MI, a realtor ready to explore Africa and get away from the cold Michigan winter.
Traveling by overland truck, the women must learn how to cope with the complexities of modern Africa: from five-star luxury hotels to township hostels, nights under the stars among the wildlife to visiting AIDS orphanages and taking bush walks with the Masai. During this trip of self-discovery, each traveler takes the opportunity to re-evaluate her everyday life and return home with fresh perspectives on what really matters the most.

Jewel To Host Season Five of NASHVILLE STAR On USA Network
Season Four′s Cowboy Troy returns as Co-Host; Show Premieres on its New Night, Thursday, January 11 at 10pm/9pm Central
NASHVILLE STAR, USA Network′s original grassroots talent search to find America′s next great country music star and the nation′s top-rated country music program, will return on its new night, Thursday, January 11 from 10-11pm ET/9-10pm CT with Grammy-nominated host Jewel. Joining Jewel for the record-breaking fifth season will be season four co-host RAYBAW/Warner Bros. Record′s Cowboy Troy. The announcement was made by Jeff Wachtel, executive vice president, original programming, USA Network.
Jewel succeeds five-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Wynonna Judd, who co-hosted season four with Cowboy Troy, as host for season five.
"Jewel brings a new and exciting dynamic to NASHVILLE STAR for its fifth season," said Wachtel. "Her success and her understanding of the craft as both a singer and songwriter will be invaluable to the aspiring singers and insightful to the viewers. With her fresh perspective and Cowboy Troy′s return, the two should make a phenomenal hosting team!"
"I grew up on a ranch in Alaska, and my favorite memories are of sitting around a camp fire with my father and listening to the songs he wrote and sang. It was pure country music, and it has made me a sincere fan of country music ever since," said Jewel. "I am so excited to be part of this show, and for the chance to watch the contestants compete in this uniquely American artform."
"Jewel is one of the most extraordinary artists in the music industry, and we are thrilled that she will participate as the host of NASHVILLE STAR for its fifth season," said H.T. Owens, executive vice president, creative affairs, Reveille, which produces the nation′s top-rated country music program. "As an acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet and actress, Jewel will help us find another talented and deserving artist to bring to the country music scene."
From the remote tundra of her Alaskan youth to the triumph of international stardom, Jewel has traveled a singular road as an acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet, actress and painter. The three-time Grammy nominee, hailed by The Times of London as "the most sparkling female singer-songwriter since Joni Mitchel," continues to explore new musical avenues from the simplicity of acoustic-driven folk to the embrace of rock, pop, country, blues, jazz and classical influences. To date, Jewel has sold over 27 million albums worldwide, enjoying career longevity rare among her generation of artists. Jewel′s personal odyssey, partly chronicled on her twelve-times RIAA platinum debut album Pieces of You comes to full flower with her most recent Atlantic Records CD, Goodbye Alice in Wonderland.
The Hick-Hop originator, Cowboy Troy′s release Loco Motive debuted at #2 on Billboard′s Top Country Albums chart and at #15 on Billboard′s Hot 200 chart. Billed as the world′s only six-foot-five black rapping cowboy, Cowboy Troy, burst onto the country music fan′s consciousness with the multi-lingual breakdown in the middle of "Rollin′ (The Ballad of Big & Rich)", the opening track to platinum-selling labelmates Big & Rich′s 2004 release Horse of A Different Color. The University of Texas grad continues to electrify crowds on the road as he tours with Big & Rich.
For its fifth season premiere in January 2007, NASHVILLE STAR will become the longest-running competition series on cable television. Its national casting tour began on August 31 in Atlanta and continued to twelve other cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Dallas, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Tampa Bay, Albuquerque, Charlotte and of course, Nashville.
The auditions are open to women and men, ages 18 and over (as of January 1, 2007), who think they have what it takes to become the next NASHVILLE STAR. Updated information on auditions including cities, locations and times, song lists, applications, as well as how to audition if you can′t make it to an open call, can be found on http://www.usanetwork.com/nashvillestar/.
As in the past, the winner of this season′s NASHVILLE STAR will receive a major music recording contract with a top-level record label.
In its previous four seasons, the careers of promising artists including Miranda Lambert, Buddy Jewel, Erika Jo and Season Four winner Chris Young have been launched. Jewel debuted his self-titled CD at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and was eventually certified gold by the RIAA. Runner-up Lambert became a household name when her Kerosene became the highest-selling debut album of 2005. Young, the most recent winner, will release his first CD on October 3; his self-written first single "Drinkin′ Me Lonely," which he performed on NASHVILLE STAR, recently debuted at country radio.
NASHVILLE STAR will continue to be broadcast live from the BellSouth Acuff Theatre in Nashville.

NBC To Premiere "1 VS 100" October 13th - Hosted By Bob Saget
One contestant will battle "the mob" of 100 others in an attempt to win $1 million in NBC′s newest international game show import "1 vs 100," from Endemol USA, premiering its five-week run on Friday, October 13 (9-10 p.m.) following an original episode of "Deal or No Deal" (8-9 p.m. ET).
Following the series premiere, "1 vs 100" will air in its regular time slot on Fridays at 8 p.m. beginning October 20, leading into the return of "Las Vegas" (9-10 p.m. ET). As a result, "Crossing Jordan" will rejoin the NBC schedule at a date to be announced later.
The announcement was made by Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.
"This entertaining game is a proven winner from Europe that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as the pressure builds with every question and the financial stakes grow higher," said Reilly. "Bob Saget is the perfect host to keep things percolating without letting the excitement of so many people spin out of control."
Reilly continued: "The introduction of this new show also allows us the luxury of saving such a proven and versatile series as ′Crossing Jordan′ for use later in the season."
From Endemol USA, the producers of NBC′s "Deal or No Deal," the hotly anticipated new game show is hosted by popular comedian Bob Saget ("Full House," "America′s Funniest Home Videos"). The essence of the game requires that one player must outlast "the mob" of 100 people in a tense battle of brains and guts for a chance to win up to $1 million. To stay in the game, the player must answer trivia questions and get every one right -- wrong answers from the mob eliminates them from the game, driving up the cash prize for the player. If the player can eliminate all 100 members of the mob, they′ll go home with the $1 million top prize. However, if the player gets one answer wrong, the game is over and "the mob" will split the player′s winnings up to that point.
"1 vs 100" is an international hit in Sweden, Belgium, Holland (where it originated), Germany, Argentina and Portugal and was recently sold to BBC in the United Kingdom to air in primetime.

PROJECT RUNWAY And Other Reality Shows Break Ratings Record For Bravo
Bravo Shows Biggest Growth Among All Fully Distributed Cable Networks
Third Quarter 2006 Is Bravo′s #1 Youngest Quarter Ever
Bravo has broken multiple network records this quarter, kicking off with setting the record for being the #1 most-watched quarter in network history in primetime, and achieving double digit growth across key demos over third quarter last year. The success of the network is attributed to the increasing viewership and multiple hit series that premiered this quarter, from "Work Out" and "Million Dollar Listing" to the stellar "Project Runway", capping a year-to-date in which more shows have delivered over one million viewers than any other year in Bravo history. The announcement was made by Lauren Zalaznick, President, Bravo
This quarter also broke numerous other Bravo records, including the most growth in total viewers and key demos than any other fully distributed cable network, compared to third quarter 2005. In addition, this quarter brought in more younger viewers than ever before, making it Bravo′s youngest quarter ever, charting viewer median age at 42.5. And, although Bravo is getting younger, it continues to remain on course as the #1 cable entertainment network for delivering advertisers a high concentration of affluent (HH $100K+) viewers in the adults 18-49 and 25-54 demos, year to date. In addition, Bravo is pacing as the #1 most educated cable entertainment network among adults 18-49 and 25-54, year to date.
"More than ever, Bravo has truly become a watercooler network," said Zalaznick. "Our programming is resonating with viewers in a way that keeps people talking about it with their friends, chatting online, text messaging and hosting viewing parties."

National Geographic Channel Explores METH - THE WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL CORRESPONDENT LISA LING uncovers the madness of METH - THE WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG
EXPLORER Episode Reveals the Factors Behind a Growing Epidemic Spreading from America′s Small Towns to Big Cities
Methamphetamine - or "meth"; for short - is considered one of the hardest addictions to quit. Across the United States, its abuse is ravaging rural communities and cities alike and spreading its tentacles to major metropolitan areas and around the globe. What makes this drug so powerful, addictive and destructive? National Geographic Channel correspondent Lisa Ling examines this epidemic to expose why many are calling meth the World′s Most Dangerous Drug.
Premiering Wednesday, October 18, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, EXPLORER: WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG tracks the grimy and graphic world of meth from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest and overseas to Thailand. Explorer tackles the story from the inside, riding along with specialized law enforcement agents and exposing the gritty world of traffickers and addicts. See the faces of real meth users, where before-and-after pictures alone tell a stunning story of the drug′s punishing physical effects. The program also follows the drug′s powerful impact on the human brain to reveal the science behind meth′s intense addictive powers and destructive physiological effects.
Meth can easily be manufactured in hidden labs using store-bought materials. Ling and the crew from Explorer expose the devastating impact of these labs dotting neighborhoods and shed light on the science behind the drug and why its addictive hold is so insidious. "It was eye-opening to see the damage first-hand that meth has caused to real people in so many different areas," commented Lisa Ling. "This drug is more powerful and cheaper than cocaine, which is why I wanted to raise awareness of this growing epidemic."
Reporting from the elusive inner circles of meth users, Lisa Ling goes behind bars for candid interviews with addicts and shows the devastating physical and emotional side effects of the drug. As many as 92 percent of users relapse, so many of these meth addicts are in and out of jail numerous times. Correspondent Lisa Ling and the Explorer cameras also accompany undercover police detectives for drug busts on the streets of Portland, OR.
EXPLORER: WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG also showcases several "faces of meth," including a young couple from Nebraska who died from exposure to prolonged below-freezing temperatures during a winter storm while high on meth. Tragically, they were found in an easily reachable location, and the recordings of their 911 call reveal that it was their meth-induced paranoia and disorientation that resulted in four agonizing hours filled with fatal missteps. Also profiled is a former addict from Oregon who shares his story of a 20-year downward spiral caused by meth and provides a guided tour of his hometown meth labs and locations where he abused the drug.
EXPLORER: WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG traces the evolution of the drug, beginning with its World War II origins; it is said to have been used by Japanese kamikaze pilots on suicide missions. The show explains how its popularity grew in America with the aid of the biker group Hell′s Angels, who gave it the nickname "crank" because they smuggled it inside the crankcases of their motorcycles.
The drug′s recent, and perhaps most alarming, evolution exploded onto the scene when new cold and allergy medications such as Sudafed hit the market, providing the base ingredients for a homemade version of meth. Now more accessible and less expensive than ever before, meth has metastasized through a web of rural communities and small towns where it can easily be manufactured. And in areas where law enforcement has been able to crack down on homemade production, a new source for the deadly drug has emerged: Mexico. Mexican meth suppliers have stepped up production, smuggling the drug into the United States via the same routes established by the cocaine cartel.
The meth crisis is also becoming a worldwide problem that is spreading its poison across international borders. Explorer travels to the back alleys of Bangkok, Thailand, where a pill form laced with caffeine called "ya-ba" has become a way of life for workers juggling multiple jobs and excruciating hours to survive in Thailand′s go-go economy.
It′s a drug that has circled the globe, leaving devastating marks on communities across America and nations around the world. Governments have admitted that it is a crisisÑone that is now becoming a critical problem in eastern cities like Miami, Baltimore and New York. It is a burgeoning epidemic that is hidden in our midst, truly living up to its reputation as the World′s Most Dangerous Drug.
EXPLORER: WORLD′S MOST DANGEROUS DRUG is produced for the National Geographic Channel (NGC) by National Geographic Television & Film (NGT&F). For World′s Most Dangerous Drug, producer is David Murdock and editor is Andrea Barrick. For NGC, executive producer is Kathleen Cromley; senior vice president of special programming is Michael Cascio and executive-in-charge of production is John Ford.

Two New Reality Shows Announced - THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS And PARANORMAL U
Two New Reality Shows Announced - THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS And PARANORMAL U
A&E Greenlights Two New Original Real-Life Series
THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS (Working Title) Explores The Lives Of Best Friends And Co-Stars Corey Haim And Corey Feldman
PARANORMAL U (Working Title) Chronicles The Exploits Of Penn State Universities Student Run Paranormal Research Society
After a record breaking summer, A&E Network has greenlit two new original series in the Real-Life franchise THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS (working title) and PARANORMAL U (working title), it was announced today by Bob DeBitetto, Executive Vice President and General Manager, A&E Network.
"THE COREYS and PARANORMAL U are perfect complements to A&E′s successful Real-Life series, looking at compelling characters and delving into their lives with unwavering candor and great storytelling," said DeBitetto.
THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS will be an eight episode, half-hour Real-Life series charting the ups and downs of this extraordinary friendship of child stars and best friends, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman.
Corey Haim and Corey Feldman have one of the most unique friendships in Hollywood history. They grew up together both on and off screen, starring in a string of hit films including "The Lost Boys," "Dream a Little Dream," "Blown Away" and "License to Drive." Between them, they have seen the world, dated scores of starlets, and each have made and lost tremendous fortunes. They have each seen the very highest of highs and the very lowest of lows.
Now, it′s 20 years later. After years of living the life of a crazy bachelor, Corey Feldman has got his life on track, married the love of his life, Susie, and settled down. They lead a peaceful zen-like existence in a picture perfect white picket fence community. This suburban domesticity is shattered when due to extenuating circumstances, Corey Haim moves in with them. It doesn′t take long for Susie and Corey to learn that two is company and three is definitely a crowd.
THE COREYS: RETURN OF THE LOST BOYS is produced by RDF USA ("Wife Swap") for A&E. Greg Goldman, Scott Carlson, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman will serve as executive producers. Nancy Dubuc and Robert Sharenow are the executive producers for A&E.
PARANORMAL U will be a thirteen episode, half-hour series chronicling the extraordinary life of Penn State University college student Ryan Buell and other members of one of the first university sanctioned Paranormal Research Societies (PRS) as they seek to find the truth behind terrifying real life mysteries. In some ways, the members of PRS are your basic college kids - dealing with the problems of school, dating, and finding their way in the world. The difference is that these students are drawn to examining "other" worlds as well -- working on cases that include poltergeists, hauntings and the darkest areas of the unknown. Each week, they are contacted for help by outside parties ranging from The Catholic Church to ordinary families who are terrified by unusual events in their homes.
PARANORMAL U is produced for A&E Network by Go Go Luckey Productions and Four Seasons Productions Intl. The executive producers are Betsy Schechter ("Try My Life"), Julie Auerbach and Gary Auerbach ("Laguna Beach"). David Miller is co-executive producer. Nancy Dubuc, Robert Sharenow and Elaine Frontain Bryant are the A&E executive producers.

CNN PRESENTS RUMSFELD - MAN OF WAR - Reveals "Real Rumsfeld" Amid Iraqi War Criticism
CNN Presents Documentary Reveals "Real Rumsfeld" Amid Iraqi War Criticism
Rumsfeld - Man of War, Reported by Frank Sesno, to Premiere on Saturday, September 30
A revealing new documentary, CNN PRESENTS RUMSFELD - MAN OF WAR, takes an unprecedented, up-close look at U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. CNN special correspondent Frank Sesno was given rare access to the defense secretary, his allies and critics of his stewardship of the war in Iraq. During an exclusive interview and tour of his Pentagon offices, a candid Rumsfeld admits that he did not anticipate the strength of the Iraqi insurgency - but he also challenges those who have questioned his war planning.
Man of War premieres on Saturday, September 30, at 8 p.m. EST and re-airs on Sunday, October 1, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Sesno reports that Rumsfeld, who achieved extraordinary success in turning around two corporations as a CEO in the 1980s and 1990s, brought a business executive′s cost-cutting sensibility to the Pentagon. While supporters say he listens to ideas and is eager to hear opposing views, his critics say that once he has staked out a position, it is nearly impossible to change his mind.
Both Rumsfeld′s allies and his detractors talk plainly about his management style, his decision-making and the chronology leading up to the current state of affairs in violence-plagued Iraq. In Man of War, Rumsfeld and his war planners accept a share of responsibility for the failure to adequately plan for the insurgency in Iraq.
Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, says, "It′s not that the questions weren′t asked, it′s that the belief was there would not be a strong insurgency, in fact the Iraqi peopleÉwould in fact do what Western minds tell us folks would do, which is grab hold of this freedom, nurture it and not devolve into internal bickering. So, it′s not that it wasn′t a possibility, it′s that we did not foresee it. I certainly did not foresee it."
Retired Army Lt. Gen. John Keane, former vice chief of staff for the U.S. Army, says blame for those miscalculations should be shared by both military and civilian leadership.
"When it comes to the insurgency itself, none of the senior military leaders anticipated the insurgency, and I believe that′s more our business than it is Rumsfeld′s business," Keane says in the documentary. "We should′ve seen that coming, particularly the ground guys like myself and others who know a little bit more about this." Critics of Rumsfeld - several of whom have called for his resignation - say planning failures for Iraq resulted in a breakdown of law and order, a lack of confidence in the American presence, and, ultimately, a longer and more dangerous war.
Retired Gen. John Batiste says his direct requests for more troops were not fulfilled. With more troops, Batiste says, he would have secured Iraq′s border with Iran and the oil infrastructure and established better relationships with the Iraqi people. Batiste tells Sesno that there is "no question" that his inadequate force levels hurt his efforts to stop the insurgency during his command. These sentiments are echoed by L. Paul Bremer, the former Coalition Provisional Authority administrator for Iraq.
Although Rumsfeld oversees the most technical and logistical transformation in the history of the American military, most agree that the defense secretary′s place in history will be determined by his management of U.S. forces in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
"Associates tell us that he can be brutally combative but also fair and generous," said Mark Nelson, vice president and senior executive producer of CNN Productions. "No matter what your view of the man might be, there is no doubt that his iron-fisted leadership of the Pentagon is defining the war on terrorism and will determine the shape of our military for years, even decades, to come."

Frank Fontana Named New Host For Reality Series DESIGN ON A DIME - Now Casting!
Frank Fontana Named New Host and Lead Designer For HGTV′s Popular Makeover Show, DESIGN ON A DIME
Los Angeles designer and lifestyle expert, Frank Fontana has signed a major deal to become the new host and lead designer for the Chicago based version of HGTV′s popular show, DESIGN ON A DIME.
Los Angeles designer Frank Fontana has signed a deal to become the new host and lead designer for the Chicago based version of HGTV′s popular show, DESIGN ON A DIME. Fontana recently relocated to the Chicago area and has just begun taping new episodes with Chicago based home owners that will air this fall on HGTV nationwide.
DESIGN ON A DIME makes over a space for design-conscious home dwellers who want lots of style but may not have lots of money for the project. With a budget of just $1,000, a design team tackles a problem area such as a boring bedroom, lackluster living room, cluttered dining room or outdated office space. Together the team transforms the ordinary into the remarkable. The show is taped in Los Angeles and Chicago but airs nationally on the HGTV Network.
Fontana is one of the few host/designers simultaneously appearing in two HGTV shows at once. In addition to DESIGN ON A DIME, he is also appearing in the new series TAKEOVER MY MAKEOVER, which is currently moving to a new primetime spot on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. beginning September 28 on the network.
Audiences may also recognize Fontana as the real Italian Stallion, and underdog winner of ABCs 2004 Martha Stewart-themed reality competition The Great Domestic Showdown, where he won the competition and launched his television career. Following THE GREAT DOMESTIC SHOWDOWN, Fontana quickly moved to TLC where he landed a featured role on the one-hour documentary-style unscripted program FAKING IT. With cameras rolling, he spent a month mentoring a woman from Texas on how to become a domestic goddess. With Fontana′s help, the woman won the competition. Since then, Fontana has also had regular appearances on SOAP TALK with Lisa Renna, and Leeza Gibbons Live.
Fontana′s love for interior design began as a child when he worked as an assistant for his dad renovating various portions of his home. "As a young teen I always studied design books and magazines, looking for way to express my creativity" Fontana remembers. "As a teenager I worked several years for a decorative home painter learning the skills of fine faux finishing and unique decorative paint techniques. I also worked as an apprentice with an interior decorator learning the basics of room layout and color cohesion." Fontana prides himself in being self-taught but has taken numerous courses in design, painting, drawing and others.
In his mid 20′s, Fontana started his own event design company where he designed theme parties and nightclub decor in South Florida for about 7 years. Fontana produced major events for celebrities including Halle Berry, Dennis Quaid, Jeff Goldblum, and many more.
Casting for the Chicago based DESIGN ON A DIME is currently underway. More information is available at www.hgtv.com.

Exclusive Interview With Christian Evans - The First AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL Eliminated
In the premiere episode of AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL Wednesday night, Christian Evans, a bank teller from Columbia, SC, was the first girl eliminated from the hit reality TV series. Christian had an especially difficult time with her photo shoot as she attempted to portray a "Model turned Actress" and the judges felt that Christian needed to be the first to go.
Our own RealityTVWebsite.com Elaine James caught up with Christian in this exclusive one-on-one interview.
Elaine James: During the interviews, we picked you as a judges favorite based on the perfected Tyra poses and thought that you would be a frontrunner in the competition to make it far. How did you feel when it was ultimately those Tyra poses that got you sent home?
Christian Evans: It was very contradicting to me, because first off, I am not a Tyra wannabee. When I came into the interview, they asked me what models I looked up to. Of course, one of my answers was Tyra, so they asked if I could do Tyra′s poses. I did not come in trying to be Tyra Banks; I was only doing what they asked me to do. They told us to be studying other models in the industry and follow what they do. I did a lot of research ahead of time and thought that this would give me a competitive advantage and I wanted them to know how hard I have worked for it and how much I wanted it. For then to then say that I need to get my own individuality and not try to be someone else, it was completely misunderstood.
Elaine James: You said that you had hoped that they would give you a second chance because you thought that you could make it far. Do you think that you′ll try out again for the next cycle?
Christian Evans: If given the chance I most definitely would come back. It only gives me more opportunity to improve myself and gives me more of a leg up. I believe I showed what I could do, but at the same time, I think they cut me short. We come here trying to become super models; we are not already professional models. It was kind of hard to have the experience cut off so early; we come here to learn and to grow. This whole experience is to learn how to make better pictures and learn about clothing. But everything happens for a reason. To me it can only get better from here.
Elaine James: What was the most important thing that you learned from the experience?
Christian Evans: To stay true to myself. When I walked into the judging I was very nervous.
When I go to casting calls, I usually where my hair pulled back and jeans and a nice tank top, but for this judging, I went opposite of what I usually do. I got really nervous thinking that what I usually do wasn′t go enough, but then that ended up not being what they wanted. That showed me that regardless of where you are going or what you are doing, you always need to be true to yourself because that is what got you that far.
Elaine James: We all saw the conflict between Monique and Eugena over the beds in the house. Did the rest of the girls get along or was there always tension in the house?
Christian Evans: I think Monique was wrong in doing what she did. Everyone was getting along fine before we got in the house, but that is when it got real and people started to get nervous. I never had any problems with anyone while I was there. I think that girls just start to fight for the spotlight.
Elaine James: So who will you be rooting for to win?
Christian Evans: Anchel is one of the girls in the house that I was really close with and I think she is very beautiful. She just needs have more self confidence. I think that they are looking for a high fashion model, which might work against here because she doesn′t exactly have the high fashion body. I′m still rooting for here though. I also like Brooke who is the All-American, blond hair, blue eyes, apple pie kind of girl next door. I′m not sure that the industry is looking for that right now, but she is a very beautiful girl. The twins are also interesting because even though they seem kind of bland at times, but they have they high fashion, editorial look that is hot right now. So I would be happy if it was one of those four.
Elaine James: So what will be next for you?
Christian Evans: I′m just going to try to work my butt off to save some money to move to L.A. or New York. I′m diving totally into modeling and want everyone to be looking out for me on the runway as I make a name for myself.

Bank Teller Christian Is Eliminated From The Debut Of AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL
Christian Eliminated From The Debut Of AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL On The CW
Christian, a bank teller from Columbia, S.C., was the first girl eliminated during the seventh cycle premiere of The CW′s dramality series AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool from 13 girls to 12.
After the field was narrowed down to 13 finalists, the girls were sent to their first challenge, a runway competition using the clothes from the designers of Elmer Ave. Testing both their runway walks and ability to style themselves, the girls had to choose their clothes off the backs of 13 male models, then feminized the outfit and wear it down the runway. Heading into the challenge, Christian was all confidence. "Runway has always been my forte. I rule the runway," Christian said. At the end of the runway challenge though, the Elmer Ave designers selected Melrose as the winner, allowing her the chance to be Diva for the Day on the set of their next photo shoot.
At the next day′s fashion shoot, the girls were greeted by "Tyra the Diva," who exemplified all of the stereotypes society often associates with the modeling world. In possibly the most controversial shoot in the history of AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL, each girl was given a different modeling stereotype to portray. While many struggled to represent their stereotype, Christian had an especially difficult time as she attempted to portray a "Model turned Actress." "I wasn′t sure if I was grasping the concept," Christian later told the judges. Jay was frustrated that she continued to give the same pose over and over again. "She needs to find her own image," Jay said.
Although several of the girls did not exhibit model behavior, the judges felt that Christian had the least amount of potential to become AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL. "The judges looked at your photo and there′s something that′s just not popping through," Tyra said to Christian just before eliminating her from the competition.
This cycle, Tyra Banks once again leads the panel of judges that will narrow the field of girls each week, as they take them into a high-pressure, high-stakes series of competitions that will determine the series winner. Legendary supermodel Twiggy, renowned photographer Nigel Barker and acclaimed runway expert J. Alexander also serve as judges.
In addition to a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl, this year′s prize package for the winner of The CW′s AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL will include a contract with Elite Model Management and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.
Making its debut on The CW, the seventh installment of the dramality series AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL follows 13 young women as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modeling. Banks, who created the show, also serves as executive producer along with Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Anthony Dominici ("The Amazing Race").
AMERICA′S NEXT TOP MODEL airs Wednesdays, (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on The CW.

Settlement Reached Over Lawsuit With ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA Name
Battle over Supernova name settled: Tommy Lee′s Group Changes Name
After injunction, band formed on CBS reality show agrees to be called "Rock Star Supernova"
An Orange County, California rock and roll band has settled its trademark dispute with reality television magnate Mark Burnett over the use of the "Supernova" trademark. Under the terms of the settlement, the Orange County rockers will continue to retain the rights to the name "Supernova." Burnett′s band, which is anchored by drummer Tommy Lee and the recently named reality show contestant Lukas Rossi as lead singer, may use the name "Rock Star Supernova" Ð the name of the CBS TV reality show which gave birth to the new band. The remaining settlement terms are confidential.
"Our client, the original Supernova band, is glad this matter has been resolved," said John A. Mizhir, Jr. of the law firm of Fish & Richardson P.C. "The guys are looking forward to once again concentrating on their music. This case has been a perfect example of how the legal system can and should work. Under the law, everyone has equal rights, no matter how big or small."
In June of this year, Supernova filed a federal trademark infringement lawsuit against CBS Broadcasting, Mark Burnett Productions, Lee, and others after settlement negotiations broke down. The suit alleged trademark infringement arising from the defendants′ use of the "Supernova" trademark in connection with a rock and roll band. On September 12, shortly before the finale of the TV show, U.S. District Court Judge John A. Houston granted plaintiff′s motion for preliminary injunction barring Burnett from using the "Supernova" mark.
Founded in 1989 in Costa Mesa, California, plaintiff Supernova is made up of Jodey Lawrence, Arthur Mitchell, and David Collins. The band has released three full-length albums and has toured the United States extensively, participating in the Vans Warped Tour in 1995 and again in 1999.
"Rock Star: Supernova" was a network TV show in which 15 relatively unknown singers competed for the position of lead vocalist in a new band made up of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, and one-time Guns n′ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. Their original plan was to call the new band "Supernova," prompting the suit by the earlier Supernova rock band.

The Atlanta-based quintet was a recent MTV "Discover and Download" artist, is nominated in the "Road Woodie" (Best Tour) category for this year′s mtvU "Woodies," and will now offer a group of lucky college students the chance to make the video for the band′s next single, "Say Anything (Else)."
MIDDLE EAST CO-EXISTENCE HOUSE - On September 3rd, a social and academic experiment unlike any in the country kicked off at Rutgers University when thirteen women - six Muslim, four Jewish, one Arab-Christian, one Catholic-Christian and one agnostic - moved into a single dorm with the goal of encouraging further understanding between the groups, as well as promoting women′s involvement in international conflict resolution and negotiation. mtvU cameras were there to capture the excitement and tension of the girls′ move in day for a piece that premieres on-air and online today.
