Anthony Clark To Be New Host Of LAST COMIC STANDING

Popular actor Anthony Clark (YES DEAR) will host the new summer edition of NBC´s Emmy-nominated series LAST COMIC STANDING, it was announced by Craig Plestis, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming and Development.

"Anthony is a very funny comedian whose engaging wit and personality have made him a favorite with audiences," said Plestis. "We´re delighted to have him host the show when it returns to NBC this summer."

Perhaps best known for his starring role for six seasons in the television series YES, DEAR, Clark also starred in the NBC comedy series BOSTON COMMON and in SOUL MAN, opposite Dan Aykroyd. Additional television appearances include HBO´s YOUNG COMEDIANS SPECIAL, BBC´s THE STAND UP SHOW, NBC´s THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO and LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN. He also appeared on multiple episodes of ELLEN.

On the big screen, Clark stars opposite Kathy Najimy in the independent film SAY UNCLE, which opens nationwide in June. He also appeared in the box-office hit THE ROCK, with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage, THE THING CALLED LOVE, with Sandra Bullock, and DOGFIGHT, opposite River Phoenix.

In addition, the Virginia native starred with Gary Sinise in the Tony Award-winning production of THE GRAPES OF WRATH. He performed live for Bill and Hillary Clinton at the Booth Theater in Washington, D.C. and at Carnegie Hall with Donna Summer.
