Fox Reality´s AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA to Be Hosted by Ty Treadway, with Co-Hosts Mikalah Gordon and Matt Rogers

Ty Treadway, actor and Emmy(R)-nominated host of SoapNet´s Emmy-nominated SOAP TALK, has been announced as the host of AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA, which premiered last night on Fox Reality, the only ALL REALITY, ALL THE TIME channel.
Each Thursday, Treadway will reveal exclusive backstage drama on AMERICAN IDOL AFTER the weekly Wednesday vote-off show on FOX. Ty´s AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA coverage begins the moment the AMERICAN IDOL episode ends, allowing him to get the immediate emotional aftermath viewers crave. Each week, AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA will premiere Thursday on Fox Reality at 6:30 p.m. ET and again at 10:30 p.m. ET, with encore performances throughout the week and weekend.
Former AMERICAN IDOL top 12 finalists Mikalah Gordon and Matt Rogers share the co-host title for AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA, providing additional backstage coverage. The co-hosts will speak to guest celebrities, family and friends of the contestants, as well as make the true behind-the-scenes rounds, interviewing the key backstage facilitators, such as show director, producer and costume and makeup, to name a few.
In addition to an interview with the week´s voted-off finalist, AMERICAN IDOL EXTRA will take a look back at their journey from home-town tryouts to one of the coveted top 12 spots. The show will also offer a number of other tantalizing segments, including visits with some of the past season´s finalists to get an update on their lives, interviews with celebrities and contestants let go earlier in the current season to get comments and reactions on performances, as well as a look at some of the amazing production team helping create the excitement and tension of each AMERICAN IDOL episode.
