OH BABY, NOW WHAT? - New Reality Documentary About Five Close Friends An A Baby

R.J. Cutler´s new reality documentary film about five friends ... and a baby.

Acclaimed filmmaker R.J. Cutler brings his trademark, intimate style to OH BABY, NOW WHAT?, a new reality documentary film about five close friends whose lives are about to rocked by the arrival of a new baby. OH BABY, NOW WHAT? premieres on A&E on Monday, April 24 at 10PM ET and PT / 9PM CT.

OH BABY, NOW WHAT? follows a group of friends in the hip Silver Lake area of Los Angeles whose summer camp-like existence comes to an abrupt end when one of them becomes pregnant. The bewildered parents are Brad and Sara, a twenty-something couple who found out only three months into their passionate and stormy relationship that they were with child. When the others hear the news, they are quick to form opinions about the situation -- and each of their lives is affected in different ways. Touching, dramatic and funny, the film captures these young people´s lives at the precise moment when existence has been interrupted, and everything begins to change.

Via director R. J. Cutler´s cinema verite storytelling and extraordinary access, OH BABY, NOW WHAT? follows each character over three months surrounding the birth of baby Hunter: Brad is a reformed playboy who is still coming to terms with impending fatherhood; Sara, a yoga instructor and model, is an outspoken ice queen that has embraced the role of "earth mother", Sara´s roommate Bonnie is a small town girl who came to LA with big city dreams and is struggling to find her place -- the idea of new baby in the house definitely clashes with her idea of big city living; Brad´s roommate Megan is a childhood friend often accused of being overly attached to Brad; Brad´s friend Paulie is really the glue that holds them togetherÑa wise, lovable teddy bear that is quick to call Brad and Sara out on their mistakes, but knows enough to often hold his tongue.

Each of these friends must examine their own life choices, and each begins to experience the doubt, frustration, exhilaration and terror of stepping into real adult lives. From the most private individual moments to public celebrations, OH BABY, NOW WHAT? has it all: tears, fights, miracles, catastrophes, and many dirty diapers. It´s all about growing up, finding out what comes next, and discovering who you really are.

Colleen Conway is the executive producer for A&E. OH BABY, NOW WHAT? is produced for A&E Network by Actual Reality Pictures. The film is directed and executive produced by R.J. Cutler (The War Room, Black. White.) Co-executive producers are Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina.
