Reality Series DIRTY DANCING Is Announced By WE TV - Hosted By Cris Judd

18 Women Dance, One Has The Time Of Her Life As WE TV Presents The Original Series DIRTY DANCING Hosted By Cris Judd

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the cult dance classic - Star choreographer Cris Judd hosts the sexiest new dance competition on television

Audiences fell in love with "Baby" twenty years ago when the movie hit theaters. It is an American classic, the DVD a best seller, and now DIRTY DANCING, the WE TV Original Series hosted by Cris Judd, is poised to make its World Premiere Wednesday, December 6 at 10:00pm ET and PT / 9:00 CT.

Over an emotionally stirring and physically demanding eight weeks, eighteen women will get the chance to compete for a professional dance contract -- but only one will live out her dream. DIRTY DANCING consists of eight one-hour episodes.

The seductive dancing and fairytale dreams that had people around the world wishing for a romance like Johnny and Baby are captured in this new true life series from WE TV. Who better to host this sultry dance-off than celebrity choreographer Cris Judd, who has worked with some of the music industry′s hottest dancers, including Jennifer Lopez, Usher, ′N Sync, Michael Jackson and Paula Abdul.

"When I was approached by WE tv, I knew immediately this was something I wanted to be a part of," said host Cris Judd. "DIRTY DANCING is one of the classic dance movies of all time, and plenty of dancers have dreamed of someday becoming Johnny or Baby. Watching these women rise up to the challenge, struggle with defeat, revel in victory and passionately follow their dreams, has been an amazing experience."

DIRTY DANCING brings 18 young women and 6 hot male professional dance instructors together at a secluded camp in Southern California. Through a series of energetic and emotional performances and personal interaction, each male instructor will pull one woman out of the corner to be his partner for the final dance off, just like "Johnny" chose "Baby." Each week′s episode centers on a specific dance style - from tango to salsa, ballroom to hip-hop - and with the dancers dancing for their dreams. The winning couple, selected by a panel of judges including choreographers Jackie Rios, Eddie Garcia, and Keith Young, will win a professional dance contract.

Everyone has something at stake. Can Salsa champ Rodrigo lead an overly passionate partner to success, while Jonathan tries to stir up Tango heat with an emotionless Cecile? Will hottie Paul be able to choose just one of three sexy, alluring partners? Is Ryan going to choose a mature, experienced woman, or an adorable inexperienced "Baby" - type he′s favored since day one? Will Artem′s search for true love prove fruitful? And will Brandon really be able to put his ego aside? With the mounting pressure and anxieties to stand out, who will fit in? And will they really have the time of their lives?
