Showtime To Premiere ALL WE ARE SAYING With 50 Music Icons
The Biggest Names In Music Sound Off On The Industry In New Documentary, ALL WE ARE SAYING
David Crosby, Peter Gabriel, Gwen Stefani, will.i.am & 50 Other Music Icons Discuss State of Industry, Inspirations & Life Behind the Mic
Nearly 55 of the biggest names in music deliberate on the current state of the industry, work/life balance, and their personal inspirations in the revealing new documentary ALL WE ARE SAYING, premiering on SHOWTIME on Wednesday, March 8 at 8 p.m. PT/ET. The film is actor/director Rosanna Arquette´s follow-up to her widely praised directorial debut, SEARCHING FOR DEBRA WINGER, which premiered on SHOWTIME in 2003 and featured Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek, Sharon Stone and others, discussing ageism in the mostly male-dominated entertainment industry.
In ALL WE ARE SAYING, which premiered to acclaim at last year´s Tribeca Film Festival, Rosanna Arquette uses her accessible, reverential interview style to provoke brilliant insight from an eclectic mix of artists. Revealing moments include:
David Crosby on how A&R reps at the present handful of media conglomerates "...wouldn´t know a [good] song if it flew up their nose(s) and died."
Steven Tyler discussing how internet downloading has greatly diminished the Aerosmith catalog value.
Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders on wearing a nursing bra while rocking out onstage.
Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, on why hip-hop has trounced rock ´n´ roll, and how Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are today´s Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
Joni Mitchell reveals why she feels one of her biggest hits as a songwriter, "Both Sides Now" (made famous by Judy Collins), is a failure and how contracting polio compelled her to become an artist.
"I love music and wanted to sit down with some of the people I admire and discuss what keeps them going - the balance between art and life, the state of the art of music today and what inspires them," said Arquette. "Most true artists care about music as a pure, passionate art form, but can get caught in the trap of the business which, sadly, has now become more important than the artist or even the music itself."
Best known for her star-making turn opposite Madonna in 1985´s DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN, Arquette has acted in nearly 80 films, including Quentin Tarantino´s PULP FICTION (1994) and John Sayles´ BABY IT´S YOU (1983). In 1999, she starred in Alison Anders´ SUGAR TOWN, a look at the tarnished lives of struggling L.A. rockers. The self-professed music addict even had two hit songs penned about her: the 1989 Peter Gabriel classic, IN YOUR EYES, and Toto´s 1982 number one song, ROSANNA. Currently, she is guest starring on Season 3 of SHOWTIME´s provocative series THE L WORD,® and on the upcoming ABC series, WHAT ABOUT BRIAN? She is a third generation member of the famous acting family that includes her grandfather (Cliff), father (Lewis), and younger siblings (Richmond, Alexis, David and Patricia).

ABC´s SUPERNANNY Is Returning Monday, March 6
SUPERNANNY returns to ABC´s lineup on Monday, March 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) with an all-new episode focusing on the most extreme U.S. household Jo Frost has seen yet.
In "Carsley Family" she visits Cheryl Carsley, a harried single mom with five children, including two sets of twin boys. She´s in school full-time, training to be a teacher, but at home her kids - Chantal, 7, Nicolas and Caleb, 5, and Bobby and Elijah, 4 - rule the roost.
The house looks like it hasn´t been cleaned in years, but worse than that is the way the kids treat their Mom and each other. A bitter divorce has left the children emotionally scarred; they hit their mother, scream at her, fight with each other and throw fits. The kids don´t listen or treat Cheryl with any respect, and every technique she has tried has failed. On top of this, how can a single working mom find one-on-one time with each child?
Can Supernanny get Mom to take charge so she can build a better life for all them?

SURVIVOR the Ride - First Reality Coaster To Debut At Paramount´s Great America
World´s First Reality Coaster, SURVIVOR the Ride(TM), to Debut at Paramount´s Great America This Spring
Big time Hollywood-style reality thrills await adventurers this spring as Paramount´s Great America unleashes the world´s first reality rollercoaster, SURVIVOR The Ride(TM).
Based on the hit CBS series that returned for its 12th installment on Thursday, February 2, the ride combines the excitement and feel of the show with classic theme park thrills.
The real-life adventure show seen by almost 20 million viewers each season comes to life in an interactive attraction that recreates the rugged SURVIVOR atmosphere. Surrounded by the sounds of tribal music and jungle drums, thrill seekers embark on a journey past fiery 40-foot tall torches, exotic tribal relics and tropical landscaping reflective of previous international SURVIVOR locales. Those brave enough can participate in an endurance immunity challenge as seen on the Emmy award-winning show or relive SURVIVOR moments through memoirs of previous seasons.
And what is SURVIVOR The Ride(TM) without competition?
Guests are divided into two tribes and challenged to demonstrate their enthusiasm through tribal chants and ritual dance movements that trigger a collection of native masks to spray water on the losing tribe. Watch as tribes try to outplay and outspray castaways aboard the ride.
The adventure continues as tribes of riders board a giant circular vessel complete with a towering tribal mask looming at its center. Guests sit facing outward and experience a thrilling rocking and spinning motion as the platform swirls along a wave-like track -- all while traversing through rugged terrain and ascending hills as high as five stories tall!
"Paramount´s Great America is thrilled to open the world's first reality coaster," says Rod Rankin, senior vice president and general manager of Paramount´s Great America. "The alliance between SURVIVOR, TV´s hottest real-life adventure show, and coaster thrills is the perfect combination for a ride experience unlike any other," adds Rankin.
With the addition of SURVIVOR The Ride(TM), Paramount´s Great America offers the most roller coasters in Northern California as well as the most rides and the most water rides. The 100-acre theme park is also home to an 11-acre water park and more than a dozen Nickelodeon(R) characters including SpongeBob SquarePants(TM) and Dora the Explorer(TM).

MIRACLE WORKERS Premieres March 6 on ABC - Doctors To Perform Miracle Operations
MIRACLE WORKERS, An Inspiring New Series About Real People Overcoming Insurmountable Odds With The Help Of An Elite Team Of Medical Professionals, Premieres Monday, March 6 On ABC
When a person´s life is on the line and doctors insist that nothing more can be done, it´s time to turn to the MIRACLE WORKERS. MIRACLE WORKERS, a life-changing new series about real people overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds with the help of an elite team of medical professionals, premieres Monday, March 6 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network.
The series, from DreamWorks Television and Renegade 83 Entertainment continues the network´s tradition of developing reality programming that makes impossible dreams come true.
In the premiere episode, HERITAGE/SLAUGHTER, one man, blind for 22 years, undergoes a revolutionary new treatment that may restore his sight; and a woman suffering from degenerative bone and disc disease is given a medical procedure that may enable her to once again lead an active life.
Todd Heritage, a 34-year-old father to three children, has been blind since childhood due to an allergic reaction to penicillin. He has defied many odds and now helps others as a nursing assistant in Kent, Ohio. His friends, family and community have been a tremendous support to him, but all he wishes is to be able to see the ocean, the stars and the faces of his own children. A revolutionary two-part procedure is Todd´s only chance to see again, using stem cells from both a live donor and a cadaver. First the surgeon extracts stem cells from the membranes of the live donor´s eye, and then those stem cells are combined with corneal surface stem cells from a cadaver´s eye. Together these cells grow over the patient´s damaged cornea. If successful, Todd could see again for the first time in 22 years.
Edward J. Holland, M.D., director of Cornea Services at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, is the MIRACLE WORKER doctor overseeing the case, assisted by MIRACLE WORKERS regular team members Redmond Burke, M.D. and Tamara Houston, R.N.
Vanessa Slaughter is a 47-year-old woman who suffers from degenerative bone and joint disease. As a woman who loves people and dreams of opening her own flower shop, being confined to her walker and wheelchair have put her dreams on hold. She has undergone five back surgeries, but they have done little to ease her pain and limited mobility.
Doctors will attempt a new procedure called Anterior Spinal Fusion on Vanessa. A titanium cage filled with bone chips is inserted into the spine from the front of the body, in the hope that the spine will fuse together. This cutting edge surgery could be Vanessa´s only hope to fulfill her dreams for an active life.
Stanley D. Gertzbein, M.D., F.R.C.S., a full professor on the faculty of Baylor College of Medicine, Houston and a board-certified internationally respected orthopedic surgeon, is the MIRACLE WORKERS doctor overseeing the case, assisted by MIRACLE WORKERS regular team members Billy Cohn, M.D. and Janna Bullock, R.N., M.S.N.
The regular MIRACLE WORKERS team includes lead doctors Redmond Burke, a pioneering cardiac surgeon who performed New England´s first heart lung transplant on a child; Billy Cohn, a cardiovascular surgeon who has been called the "Thomas Edison" of heart surgery for his impressive list of inventions that have changed surgery techniques; UCLA Medical Center nurse Janna Bullock and McLennan Community Recovery RN Tamara Houston.

Fox Announces New Reality Series UNAN1MOUS - Nine Contestants And 1.5 Million Dollars
In a dramatic new television experiment, a diverse group of nine strangers are locked in a bunker, where they´ll remain until they decide who is worthy of a 1.5-million-dollar cash prize. There is a catch, though, because the longer it takes to make a unanimous decision, the less money there will be to win. If they take too long, they will be left with nothing. UNAN1MOUS, a dynamic hybrid of unscripted drama and competition from the producers of THE BIGGEST LOSER and BEAUTY AND THE GEEK, premieres Wednesday, March 22 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Upon entering their isolated living quarters, the nine contestants are cut off from the outside world, locked away, and presented the opportunity to win $1.5 million. The only thing standing between them and the money is a simple vote. If they are able to come to a unanimous decision about who should win the money, the game is over. If the outcome of the vote is not unanimous, the money clock is activated and the cash prize begins its countdown with potentially thousands of dollars lost every hour until the next voting period.
In every episode, each of the nine contestants, who include a minister, an atheist, a ladies´ man and a feminist, must convince the others to vote only for him or her. Before the vote, personal facts, secrets and lies are revealed, perhaps helping them decide who should receive the money. As the game progresses, contestants will be eliminated from winning the cash prize, but - in a television first - they will continue to live in the bunker and will continue to vote.
Will contestants´ greed for the money outweigh their desire to help someone potentially less fortunate than themselves? Who will lie and connive, and who will be truthful and sincere? No matter what, the final vote must be UNAN1MOUS.

MTV Announces New TRUE LIFE Series - Expands Lineup of Documentary Series
MTV Expands Lineup of Documentary Series with New slate of Programming In 2006
MTV announced a wide-ranging expansion of News & Docs series production for 2006, following up on the success of such documentary series as veteran groundbreaker TRUE LIFE. MTV has given the greenlight to three new shows catering to audience´s demand for more programming that presents an honest and accurate portrayal of young people´s lives.
"Our audience has responded strongly to programs that cover the social issues, lifestyle trends, and everything in between that affect young people´s lives," says Dave Sirulnick, Executive Vice President, MTV Multiplatform Production, News and Music. "In the same spirit of TRUE LIFE, the new line-up uniquely tells the stories of young people from their personal points of view."
The critically-acclaimed MTV News & Docs staple TRUE LIFE continues to perform well after 8 years on air. The last cycle of TRUE LIFE episodes (December 15, 2005 -- January 26, 2006) reached more than 65 million viewers. Among viewers P12-34, the series outpaced its last by 15% and the season ranked Number One in its time period. In fact, last cycle´s TRUE LIFE: I HAVE OCD was the highest-rated episode of TRUE LIFE ever.
MTV News & Docs programs slated to premiere go inside the experiences of young people navigating through a juvenile detention and justice center at the hands of a no-nonsense judge, the competitive world of high school football and its implications for young players in a small Southern town, and the cutthroat realm of beauty pageantry and the motivations of their contestants. These programs include:
MTV JUVIES - Summer 2006 - 8 episodes, 1hr
This gritty and tense documentary illustrates what happens when kids, who have never had a brush with the law, find out their choices have real consequences. Through exclusive State Supreme Court access to the Lake County Juvenile Center in Indiana, MTV Juvies depicts what happens to first time offenders during their stay at the detention center, and offers an unprecedented look inside the courtroom, where their lives and their future are at the hands of a sole judge who will determine their sentence. Created By: Lily Neumeyer, Karen Grau, Bill Hussung; Executive Producers: Dave Sirulnick, Lily Neumeyer; Karen Grau/ Bill Hussung (Calamari Productions); Kevin Dill (Dill Entertainment)
TWO-A-DAYS (working title) - Summer 2006 - 8 episodes, 30 mins
This documentary series follows the highly-ranked Hoover High School Bucaneers of Hoover, Alabama, through their high school football season. The Bucs are nationally ranked and chasing their fourth consecutive state championship title. But in Alabama, communities take their football extremely seriously, and the players are living under tremendous pressure to earn a football scholarship, win a championship ring - not to mention the demands of girlfriends, parents, and teachers. Executive Producers: Dave Sirulnick, Amy Bailey; Co-Executive Producers: Jason Sciavicco, Jesse Dupree
TIARA GIRLS - April 19, 2006 - 8 Episodes, 30 mins
TIARA GIRLS documents the lives of beauty pageant contestants - the stories of young women as they prepare and train for competition - shopping for their sometimes outrageously expensive wardrobes, training their bodies and even hiring special coaches for interviews and presentation. Find out what motivates these young women, the often significant role that parents play in guiding their children´s aspirations, how they deal with victory or loss, and explore their ultimate goals in living the life of a tiara girl. Executive Producers: Dave Sirulnick, Marshall Eisen, and Kimberly Belcher Cowin; Series Producer: Mary Jaras; Producers: Stephanie Bond, Patricia Chica, Brooke Gaston, Anne Russell
Each episode of MTV JUVIES, TWO-A-DAYS [wt], and TIARA GIRLS will be followed by a program aftershow on MTV OVERDRIVE, the network´s broadband channel (overdrive.mtv.com).

Reality Series CAN´T GET A DATE Announced By VH1
Got Dating Troubles? You´re Not Alone! VH1 Gets to the Heart of the Problem With New Reality Series
For years, the loveless have been forced to wander the dating landscape aimless and alone, making the same mistakes over and over. Finally, that´s about to change. Help is on the way in the form of VH1´s new reality series CAN´T GET A DATE, which premieres Friday night, April 7th at midnight. Catch a sneak peek of the premiere episode on the VSPOT, VH1´s broadband channel on Valentine´s Day - Tuesday, February 14 -- http://vspot.vh1.com/.
Each episode of CAN´T GET A DATE focuses on the real problems of one romantically challenged subject with dating problems ranging from the painfully obvious (foot fungus) to the well-hidden (fear of bicycles). The Host/Dating Mentor, who is heard but never seen, strikes a dialogue with our subject and, like a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac, offers advice and wisdom from behind the camera. The host´s perfect blend of humor, support and tough love soon unmasks our subject´s real dating problems.
After the subject´s flaws have been exposed, the reformation begins. The Host enlists the help of friends to turn around the subject´s losing streak. It´s not a tepid makeover performed by self-proclaimed "experts," but rather a fun parade of genuine insights from down-to-earth, everyday people. By using untraditional techniques to tackle our subjects´ issues - hula hooping with fire, hypnosis, learning to ride a bike, skateboarding on the Brooklyn pier, even enduring a full body wax - each dating hopeful is challenged to leave their own comfort zone.
The journey takes the audience into a New York that only a few insiders know, like cul-de-sac boutiques in Soho and old Italian barbershops in the East Village. The subject makes a physical transformation before the audience´s eyes, their attitude evolving through interactions with The Host and the helping hands they encounter along the way.
Finally, the subject, armed with a new attitude and approach to finding love, goes on an actual date under the watchful eye of our host/mentor.
Will everyone find love in 30 minutes? Well, no. But CAN´T GET A DATE promises to get them back in the fight.
CAN´T GET A DATE? Yes, you can.
In addition to airing the Valentine´s Day sneak peak, VSPOT coverage will include audition "shorts" and "after shows" that follow-up with the each dater after their CAN´T GET A DATE experience. The bonus footage - which will be available beginning April 8 - will also be available through VH1 On Demand, across various cable providers.
