Actress-Comedian Daisy Donovan Pursues the American Dream in TBS´s DAISY DOES AMERICA, a Fresh New Comedy Reality Series from Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette´s Coquette Productions
Unscripted Half-Hour Reality Series to Premiere Tuesday, December 6, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)
Achieving the American Dream is no small feat, but it sure can be a funny ride, as actress-comedian Daisy Donovan (DAISY DAISY, MILLIONS, THE 11 O¹CLOCK SHOW) discovers when she hits the road in TBS´s original unscripted comedy series DAISY DOES AMERICA. This fresh, fast-paced and irreverent look at some of America´s most extreme characters and lifestyles, as seen through the eyes of a British import, is set to air on TBS Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), beginning December 6.
In DAISY DOES AMERICA, Daisy travels the country in search of the American Dream, soon discovering that phrase means different things to different people. Her travels spotlight the quirks and oddities of the American way of life as she tries to fit in wherever she can, whether as a bounty hunter, rap singer or psychic. Along the way, she pokes fun at herself and the characters she comes across in her unique, tongue-in-cheek style. As she strives to conform to the sometimes-bizarre characters and situations she encounters, the results are unpredictable and hilarious.
"Daisy Donovan is a truly engaging personality and a great find for TBS," said Steve Koonin, executive vice president and chief operating officer of TBS and TNT. "Her ability to corner unsuspecting subjects with her tongue-in-cheek interviews has made her hugely popular overseas, and we are confident that, with the comic talents of Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette behind this new series, her success can be duplicated in America."
Daisy first appeared on British television in the series THE 11 O¹CLOCK SHOW, featuring mock interviewer Ali G. She then starred in, wrote and produced her own series, DAISY DAISY, which was followed by the series DOES DOUG KNOW? Daisy´s acting credits include the series MY FAMILY; the television movies THE UNEXPECTED MRS. POLLIFAX, SECOND NATURE AND POIROT: DEATH ON THE NILE; and the critically acclaimed feature film MILLIONS.
