A&E Network′s Documentary Series INTERVENTION - Returns For A Third Season Beginning Friday, March 16th
A&E Network’s acclaimed documentary series INTERVENTION, which profiles people who are struggling with addictions and the friends and family members who are seeking to help them, returns for a third season in a new timeslot, Fridays at 10:00pm EST/PST beginning March 16th.
INTERVENTION is a powerful and gripping series in which people confront their darkest demons and seek a route to redemption. The series profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. Each episode ends with a surprise intervention that is staged by the family and friends of the addict, and which is conducted by one of four specialists: Jeff VanVonderen, Candy Finningan, Ken Seeley and Tara Fields.
INTERVENTION raises awareness about the alternatives and treatment options available to those who suffer from an addiction, and gives hope to families who have nowhere left to turn. Out of the 61 interventions featured since the series premiere in March of 2004, 59 individuals have successfully entered treatment. Last year, INTERVENTION ranked as A&E’s #2 series after Dog The Bounty Hunter in Adults 18-49 (1.0 million) and Adults 25-54 (952,000).
Robert Sharenow and Colleen Conway are the executive producers for A&E Network. INTERVENTION is produced for A&E Network by GRB. Bryn Freedman is executive producer and Sam Mettler is creator and executive producer for GRB.
